Egg Drop (Soup Not Included)
This mod gives nearly every mob a small chance to drop their respective spawn egg when killed by a player. This applies automatically to all entities with a registered spawn egg item, including modded ones.
The config file contains several properties which can be edited. This includes features such as the chance for eggs to drop, as well as a blacklist for mobs which shouldn't drop their eggs. By default this list includes Ender Dragons, Wardens, Withers, Giants, and Illusioners. This list can be added to, taken away from, and even inverted in any way you see fit to change how egg drops are altered.
Things to Note
- Although most entities are natively supported, currently it is only possible for a mob to drop a spawn egg if it already has one coded in. Currently the only exceptions are the Giant and the Illusioner, which I have manually added eggs for.
- This limitation also applies to certain variant mobs such as Brown Mooshrooms and the Killer Bunny.
- If a mod uses a non-standard naming scheme for its spawn eggs, it might not be compatible by default. I will attempt to address these types of mods in the future.
Experimental Features
- Adds a config option which allows Monster Spawners to drop as items when mined using Silk Touch (Disabled by default)
- Spawners currently do not retain their entity when broken.
