Enhanced QoL
A client-side mod that adds a collection of quality-of-life improvements to Minecraft. It works in singleplayer and on any server, nothing has to be installed on the server side. Everything is toggled in the mod's own settings menu, split into four tabs: Crosshair, HUD, Inventory and Chat.
Default keys
\- open mod settingsB- waypoints menuC- zoom, hold it down, the mouse wheel changes the zoom level while heldTAB- show the items that fit the slot
Crosshair
- Reduced and centered crosshair.
- Attack crosshair: changes color the moment your hit will actually land on an entity.
- Attack indicator: a bar that fills when the held item is ready to use, so shield, bow, food and block breaking.
- Radar: marks around the crosshair for mobs that target you and for players.
- Health display: shows the health of the entity you look at.
- Swing through: your sword hits entities through grass, torches and plants.
- Damage numbers: floating numbers for the damage you deal.
- Hitboxes: separate colors for a normal hitbox, for the entity under your crosshair and for an entity that cannot take damage yet.
HUD
- Fire and pumpkin overlays fade out so they no longer block your view.
- Damage flash: its opacity and color.
- Camera shake on damage can be turned off.
- Totem pop icon is almost invisible, down to 0.
- Block names: a button to name a block, plus the name shown above the crosshair on hover.
- Zoom strength: how far it zooms in, the mouse wheel adjusts it on the fly.
- Static FOV: your FOV stays fixed while walking and sprinting, effects no longer move it.
- Info elements: FPS, days in the world, in-game time in 12 or 24 hour format, coordinates.
- Keystrokes: WASD panel, mouse buttons and CPS.
- Waypoints, key
B: your own marks with a name, color and coordinates, stored per dimension and per server so marks from different worlds do not mix. The overlay shows the distance to a mark in meters. - Death marker: a mark with the coordinates is placed where you died, and the death screen shows them too.
Inventory
- Hotbar cooldown: the remaining cooldown as numbers over the vanilla fill.
- Durability as numbers instead of the bar.
- Item count: shows the total count and automatically picks up the items you spent.
- Highlight similar items, and highlight items that just entered your inventory.
- Auto drop: marked items are dropped automatically.
- Bilingual search: search works in Russian and English at the same time, no matter which game language you use.
- Container search: a search bar in chests and other interfaces, found items are highlighted.
- Recipe book button and recipe loading. (can provide a minor optimization by disabling the loading of recipes into the recipe book).
- Notepad: a notepad in the inventory with bookmarks and jump to first or last page.
- Multitool: picks the right tool for the block you are breaking.
- Quick transfer: Shift + LMB moves every item you drag over.
- Slot hint window: shows what you can put into a slot, static size or sized to the content, hold or fixed mode.
- Calculator: a calculator button in the inventory.
- Craft timer: seconds left for a furnace or a brewing stand.
Chat
- Rebuilt chat window instead of the vanilla one, one toggle brings vanilla chat back.
- Chat look: background, window size and position, the window can be dragged by the corner.
- Player head in front of the nickname.
- Fancy names: "nick: message" with its own color, works in vanilla chat too.
- Timestamps: [hh:mm] next to every message.
- Tabs: Global, Players, Server, PM and Colors, each tab can be turned off separately.
- Colors: a nickname list where you pick a color per player, your own nick is blue, server replies and commands have their own color, plus the chat background color. Works in vanilla chat too.
- Stay open: the message feed stays on screen after you close the chat, with its own opacity.
- Paragraphs with Shift+Enter: line breaks in the input field, paragraphs are sent as separate messages because the server does not accept a line break.
- Long messages: removes the 256 character input limit and sends text longer than one packet in parts.
- Long-term chat: messages and command history survive restarts, worlds and servers.
- Message text size and line spacing.
- Clear history: per channel, so global, players, server and PM, or everything at once, with a confirmation because it cannot be undone.
- Player list: a separate screen with players and their colors.
