EvolutionTiersTagger is a lightweight Minecraft client-side mod available for both Fabric and NeoForge that seamlessly integrates with the Evolution Tiers ranking system. It automatically fetches and displays player rankings directly in-game, giving you instant access to competitive tier information without ever leaving Minecraft.
When you encounter another player, the mod silently queries the Evolution Tiers API in the background using their UUID and caches the result for the rest of your session. Their tier (such as HT1, LT2, LT3, Unranked, etc.) then appears prepended to their name in three places: above their head in the world, in the tab list, and on any text display entities. Each tier is color-coded using the exact colors defined by the Evolution Tiers website, so HT1 looks different from LT3 at a glance. Retired players are shown with an R prefix (e.g. RHT1) to distinguish them from active competitors.
The mod supports multiple gamemodes and lets you cycle through them using a configurable keybind, instantly switching which gamemode's rankings are displayed across all players. If a player isn't ranked in your selected gamemode, you can configure the mod to fall back to showing their highest ranking across all gamemodes instead. Peak tier can also be shown in brackets next to the current tier, for example HT2 (peak: HT1), so you can see how a player has trended over time.
A built-in player search screen lets you look up any player by their IGN and view their full profile including all gamemode rankings, region, total points, rank title, and last tested date. The config screen provides full control over colors, display toggles, API endpoint, and behavior options.
