eXc Colored Elytra

Ever wished your elytra matched your outfit? eXc Colored Elytra lets you dye your wings in all 16 vanilla colors — visible in your inventory and on your back while flying.

How it works

• Dye it: Put 1 elytra + 2 dyes of the same color anywhere in a crafting grid (even your 2x2 inventory grid).
• Re-dye it: Same recipe works on an already-colored elytra — swap colors any time.
• Wash it: Combine a colored elytra with a water bottle to get your plain elytra back (the empty glass bottle stays in the grid).

The important part

• Enchantments, durability, and custom names are always kept. Your Unbreaking III / Mending elytra stays exactly as it was — only the color changes.
• Colored elytras are fully functional: fly with them, repair them with phantom membranes, enchant them like the original.
• Textures for the item and the wings on your back, in every color.

📌 Version note: From 1.5.0 on (MC 1.21.11, 26.1.x, 26.2), dyeing happens in the loom — combine an elytra with any dye. Older versions (1.16.5–1.21.10) still use the crafting table (elytra + 2 matching dyes).
