FastRecipeCrafting
A lightweight client-side mod for Minecraft that speeds up crafting through the recipe book.
What it does
Normally, the recipe book can only place a recipe's ingredients into the crafting grid — you still have to grab the finished item yourself. This mod removes that extra step:
- First click on an item in the recipe book — places the recipe into the crafting grid, as usual.
- Second click on the same item — instantly crafts it (equivalent to shift-clicking the result slot), then automatically re-places the same recipe so you can keep crafting without extra clicks in between.
- Holding left click for more than ~0.5 seconds — starts auto-repeating the craft at the maximum speed the client tick allows, until you release the button or run out of ingredients.
- Holding Shift while placing a recipe — places the maximum available amount of ingredients into the grid at once, instead of a single set at a time.
The mod is client-side only and requires nothing on the server — every action goes through the game's normal packets (handleContainerInput, handlePlaceRecipe), so from the server's/anti-cheat's perspective it's indistinguishable from a player clicking normally.
Known limitations
- Auto-craft speed while holding is capped by the client tick rate (20 tps) and how fast the server processes packets.
- The mod only works with standard crafting menus (crafting table). Other mods' custom RecipeBookMenu implementations with a different slot layout may need extra handling.
