Recreates Minecraft Biomes

Florest rebuilds what grows on top of your world — a canopy with real layers, deadwood rotting on the ground, boulders buried in moss, and soil that shifts with the terrain.

Your world still generates exactly the same. The forests in it don't.

No config. No dependencies. Install → new world → go stand in a forest.

🌳 A Canopy With Layers :

Vanilla gives every tree the same height. Florest gives you giants breaking through the roof, stunted trees filling the shade underneath, and sightlines that finally go somewhere.

Oak, birch, spruce, dark oak, jungle — each only where it belongs.

🍂 Ground That Isn't Just Grass :

Podzol in the deep shade. Coarse dirt where slopes erode. Moss, gravel, mud, pebbles everywhere they'd actually be.

Not random circles — it follows the terrain's own noise and steepness, so the floor reads like ground instead of texture.

🪵 Everything Else In There :

• Deadwood — fallen logs lying in different directions, dead standing snags, old stumps
• Boulders & scree — mossy rocks in the woods, loose stone spilling down slopes
• Undergrowth — ferns, tall grass, mushroom clusters, berry bushes, flower mixes per biome
• Pale Garden support on 1.21.11+, with its own pale oak deadwood
• 33 biomes, each hand-assigned — no copy-paste vegetation

Density is driven by noise, so forests come with thickets and clearings instead of one even carpet.

🛡️ It Won't Break Your World :

• Terrain, caves, biome layout — byte-for-byte vanilla. Florest never touches world shape
• Mob spawns, biome colors, music — byte-for-byte vanilla
• No new blocks, items, mobs or recipes
• Nothing floats. No trees in lakes, no logs on bare stone — same placement rules vanilla uses on its own trees

Every version is generated on a real Minecraft server and diffed against a vanilla world on the same seed before release.
