You've most likely stumbled across a wildfire at least once during your explorations in the Overworld: natural lava lakes, no matter how small they are, can become a huge threat for the environment if they happen to generate within a forest, causing massive destruction in all of the surroundings. If you ever tried to stop these wildfires and save the ecosystem, or at least a part of it, you'll have found that it can be incredibly difficult to reach the tall crowns of burning trees to extinguish every single flame, with the risk of hurting yourself in the process; fortunately for you, this mod is here to help you defeat even the largest of wildfires and save every forest threatened by them!
Foresters adds new clever ways of using vanilla tools that you can easily find inside your inventory, like water buckets, powder snow buckets and even bundles (which are now craftable to assist every player in their exploration and forest rescue mission), to put out fires more easily: now, in addition to placing water down in the traditional way, you also get to pour water and powder snow in the direction you're looking at, allowing you to extinguish flames in the most distant spots with ease, and, as if that wasn't enough, you also get to fill up your empty bundles with water and throw them anywhere you want to land a water splash that will clear up any flame in the area.
In extreme cases, you can also ask the Spirits of Nature for help: if you prove your noble intention and they consider you worthy, they will summon rain upon you, snuffing out the fire in no time. This ability, however, can only be used inside forests and it should only be invoked in times of true need: if you try to abuse it, you won't get any result in most cases, and you could even be zapped by the Spirits if you insist too much! (Or even if you just caught them on a bad day).
