Fox's Weapons
Fox's Weapons is a NeoForge weapon mod for Minecraft 26.2 focused on weapons that actually have their own mechanics.
The finished base mod is planned to contain 15 unique weapons, divided across three progression tiers. BUT THEN AGAIN I NEVER ACTUALLY PLANNED TO ADD STATUS EFFECTS.
Each weapon is intended to have its own playstyle, model, effects, and purpose instead of simply being another sword with a bigger damage number.
Current alpha: 0.5.0-alpha.1 — Weighted Net

- Targets can move normally within the rope's slack range
- Moving too far away causes the target to be pulled back
- The tether cannot break from distance
- Right-click again to release the target
- Releasing applies Rope Burns
- Rope Burns temporarily reduces movement speed
- Custom bundled 3D model
- Custom thrown projectile
- Visible rope/tether effect
- Attach and release sounds
The Weighted Net is designed for mobility control rather than damage.
Status Effects
Rope Burns
A custom effect introduced with the Weighted Net.
When a tethered target is released:
- Rope Burns is applied
- Movement speed is reduced
- The effect lasts approximately 5 seconds
Yes, villagers trying to sprint away become considerably less enthusiastic after being untethered.

- Minecraft 26.2
- NeoForge 26.2.0.59
- Java 25
- GeckoLib 5.5.3
Development Status
Fox's Weapons is currently in public alpha.
Current progress
5 completed weapons out of 15 planned
The mechanics listed for unreleased weapons represent their planned concepts and may evolve significantly during implementation.
Weighted Net is already a good example of this.
It started as:
throw net → Slowness
and somehow became:
UNBREAKABLE RANGED ROPE KIDNAPPING DEVICE
So yes, plans may change.

Testing tip: The dummy is recommended for weapon testing. The Sulfur Cube tried. It was not effective.
