== Frontiers a2025.0.2: A Taste of Things To Come ==
Additions
Crawler (WIP)
- A new, much deadlier cousin to the Creeper exclusive to Hardmode
- Only spawns deep underground
- Sports glowing blue eyes, making it stand out in the dark
- Absolutely silent when walking, making it almost impossible to detect
- Will slowly walk towards you while primed, like Beta Creepers. Don't let it near you.
- Takes longer to explode, but its explosion is far deadlier
- Will cause a fiery explosion if it's on fire
- Drops Gunpower & Souls
- Currently unfinished. Expect more from it later:
- A slightly unique model - about 1.5 blocks tall and fatter
- Explosions will "infect" nearby blocks, if possible
- Explosions will alert other nearby Crawlers
- A spawn egg lol
Souls
- Currently a WIP item, but will be an extremely important resource post-Wither
- Only drops from Crawlers right now; more enemies will drop them later
- A very good fuel for your Monster Bakeries, like Coal to a Furnace
- Can currently be used to craft Phantasmic TNT
Phantasmic TNT
- A TNT block that does far greater explosions
- Crafted from 4 Gunpowder, 4 Sand, and 1 Soul
- Its current functionality is temporary; will be a more unique tool later
Eboncork (WIP)
- A new wood type native to the Crags
- Only available in Creative for the time being
- Unlike most wood, it generates in large "clusters" on the floors and ceilings of the Crags
- Doesn't naturally generate yet, but the structures exist in the code! :D
- One Eboncork makes 2 planks
- Only planks exist at the moment - a full wood set (excluding a boat) will be added in a future patch
Misc
- Added some small easter eggs for Artyrian because I hate him so much
- The join/leave messages for this player will be...irritated
- Artyrian will always drop a single Beetroot on death
This is just a taste of what to expect in a later major Frontiers update - which will be centered around actually making Hardmode more challenging than it is now. Hope you look forward to it!
Changes
Spirit Candle
- Now prevents Endermen from teleporting within their area when lit
- Both the causing candle and Enderman will emit particles when this succeeds
- Changed crafting recipe:
- Now calls for 1 incense instead of 2
- Creates 2 candles
Misc
- Shulker Bullet residue drops are now data-driven
- Changes to Vex Incense drops
- Now data driven
- Drop chance increased from 50% to 75%
This is the initial release of Frontiers. Much of what's included is unfinished, so please don't expect everything to be polished and in a final state.
Here's a rundown of the majority of the additions. Be warned, the list is pretty big:
Features
Major Additions
Cobalt
- The first of the 3 new Overworld ores, found in the Jungle in the Deepslate layer.
- Can be mined with at least a Netherite Pickaxe.
- Will not drop anything before the Wither dies.
- Required to mine Verdinite & Frostite.
- Used in crafting the Cobalt Shield, a stronger variant of Shield that knocks attackers further back.
- Can be used to craft an upgrade to the Fishing Rod, the Cobalt Fishing Rod.
- While this is simply a stronger Fishing Rod for the time being, there will hopefully be a revisit to this at a later date with a unique loot pool.
Verdinite
- Can be mined with at least a Cobalt Pickaxe.
- Required to mine Vivulite.
- Can be used to craft a Verdinite Bow, a stronger version of the Wooden Bow with higher base damage.
Vivulite
- Can be mined with at least a Verdinite Pickaxe.
- The strongest of the three Overworld ores.
- Generates near Bedrock, and NEVER generates exposed; you'll need to put in a lot of effort to find it!
- Can be used to craft the ultimate Anvil; the Vivulite Anvil.
- Acts exactly like a regular anvil, with one unique perk for your grinding efforts - it's completely indestructible!
Frostite
- Found exclusively in the Ice Spikes biome, generating in the giant spikes of Packed Ice.
- Can be mined with at least a Cobalt Pickaxe with Silk Touch. Will drop nothing otherwise.
- In order to get the Raw Frostite within, you'll need to melt Frostite Ore using light, like regular Ice blocks.
- The ore won't melt in the Ice Spikes biome, so you'll have to move it first!
- Frostite is as strong as Verdinite and can mine Vivulite.
- Currently, a full set of Frostite makes you immune to a Stray's arrow effects and Subzero arrows.
- Frostite will be revisited at a later date to give more of a reason to go for it. Sorry! :'}
Mourning Gold
- A special metal tier crafted from Gold, Quartz & Ectoplasm.
- Mourning Gold has the strength of Iron, the enchantability of Gold, and far more durability than your average Iron tool, making it a perfect substitute for when you don't want to waste all of your Iron.
Brimtan
- Currently the strongest material, and consequentially the hardest to get.
- Can only be found in the Crags. The ore itself drops Brimtan Clusters, which smelt into Brimtan Nuggets.
- Craft Ingots from the Nuggets, then make Brimtan Shells in the same way you'd craft tools and armor.
- Brimtan Shells can be combined with Vivulite tools at a Smithing Table, provided you found the proper Smithing Template in one of the Crags' many altars.
Obsidian-Tipped Tools
- A pseudo-sidegrade to Golden Tools with the strength of Diamond, durability of Stone, and efficiency + enchantability of Gold.
- Crafted using an Obsidian Casing on any Golden Tool in a Smithing Table, using an Obsidian Upgrade Template.
- These can rarely be found in Ruined Portals.
- Unlike other tools, when the durability depletes, an Obsidian tool won't be destroyed; instead, it'll become a "broken" item.
- This broken item retains all the information from the regular tool, including name and enchantments!
- A broken Obsidian tool can be repaired at an Anvil using regular Obsidian.
Necro Weave + Rotcross Armor
- A sidegrade to Netherite (that totally isn't awful in its current state).
- Can be crafted from Necro Weave, crafted from 2 Wool and 2 Onyx Bones (dropped by Wither Skeletons).
- Big shocker: currently unfinished!!!
- For the moment, a full set has the ability to pierce through Wither armor with projectiles.
- At least it looks cool I guess????
Personal Chest + Chest Key
- Personal Chests are crafted from Deepslate, Lightning in a Bottle, Gold Ingots, and Echo Shards.
- When placed by a player, it remembers who placed it, only allowing that player to access the contents.
- Any other player who tries to open it will be prevented from doing so, unless they're cleared with a Chest Key; more on that in a sec!
- Hoppers can put items in a Personal Chest, but can't take them out.
- Personal Chests cannot be broken by anyone except for the owner.
- THIS IS A TEMPORARY SOLUTION! It'll be revisited later with a less griefing-prone approach to security. Just remember to be careful who you play with!
- Chest Keys can be crafted from Gold Ingots and Lapis Lazuli.
- Right click a player with a Chest Key to assign them to it.
- Right clicking a Personal Chest that you own with an assigned Chest Key will allow the assigned player to open that specific chest!
Phantom-Stitch Bed
- Crafted from 3 planks and 3 Phantom Membrane.
- Sleeping in this bed will grant you Well-Rested for 2 hours, which will prevent Phantoms from spawning on you!
- I've received several requests to make these dyeable. I'll consider it for a later patch. :}
New Flowers
- Rose
- Obtained by breaking a Rose Bush with Shears.
- Ancient Rose
- Grown from Ancient Rose Seeds dug up by Sniffers.
- Can be crafted into an Ancient Rose Bush.
- With a Rose planted nearby, use Bone Meal on it for a cool surprise...
- Experiwinkle
- Found very rarely in Meadows and Flower Forests.
- Drops an Experiwinkle Bulb and a small bit of XP when broken, or drops itself with Shears.
- The bulb can be planted on Farmland to regrow the flower. It can't be bonemealed, so you'll have to wait for it!
- Acts as a quick means of getting a little XP. With enough Experiwinkles, you can set up a literal XP farm!
- Crimcone
- A decorative flower found in Crimson Forests.
- Can easily be mistaken for Crimson Fungi, so keep your eyes peeled!
- Snow Dahlia
- Found near frozen lakes.
- Can be traded with Master Fletchers for Subzero Arrowheads.
- Fungal Daffodil
- Found exclusively on Mushroom Islands.
- Can be traded with Master Fletchers for Bouncy Arrowheads.
Quicksand
- This isn't technically a major feature...but I should warn you about it anyway.
- Generates in Jungle and River biomes, in large patches.
- Can also be crafted; this is the only way to get Red Quicksand.
- As expected, any entity that falls in will start sinking.
- Cannot be circumvented with any particular armor; you'll need to sneak to prevent yourself from sinking.
- I'll likely revise this later; I want to make it so entities only sink when actually walking in it.
- Mines faster and drops itself when mined with a Shovel.
- Entities will pathfind through it, making it great for defenses and mob farms.
Fletching Table + Arrowheads
- Finally, Fletching Tables have a use!
- Interacting with a Fletching Table opens up a new UI. There's three slots: one for a tip, one for a stick, and one for a feather.
- While you can craft regular arrows on it for 2 extra arrows, the table's main purpose is crafting specialty arrows.
- Master Fletchers will have a chance to sell Arrowheads in exchange for a certain material + Emeralds, which can be used at a Fletching Table to craft specialty arrows!
- At this time, there are currently 6 unique Arrowheads, with more to come:
- Spectral: Makes Spectral Arrows
- Subzero: Makes Subzero Arrows, which freezes enemies
- Bouncy: Makes Bouncy Arrows, which ricochet off surfaces
- Warp: Makes Warp Arrows, which teleport you to the hit location.
- Dynamite: Makes Dynamite Arrows, which...explode.
- Prismarine: Makes Prismarine Arrows, which travel much faster through water.
Monster Bakery
- Spawners now drop Spawner Chunks when mined with a Pickaxe, which can be used to craft the new Monster Bakery.
- A Monster Bakery acts as a Spawner that the player has full control over, but must provide resources to keep going.
- This acts as an alternative to the Spawner: you now have the option of unlimited spawns of one kind, or limited spawns of your own choosing.
- The Monster Bakery acts with a chance system:
- Every successful item used tries an attempt at a spawn, starting with a 10% chance.
- If it fails, the chance increases by 10%.
- When a spawn is successful, the chance will reset to 10%.
- If for whatever reason the chance is successful but the mobs fail to spawn, the Monster Bakery will try again.
- In order to spawn an entity, you must make sure the Bakery is in the proper spawning conditions for that entity.
- The following items spawn the following entities:
- Rotten Flesh -> Zombie
- Bone -> Skeleton
- Spider Eye -> Spider
- Slime Ball -> Slime
- Magma Cream -> Magma Cube
- Onyx Bone -> Wither Skeleton
- Frost Bone -> Stray
- Blaze Rod -> Blaze
- Raw Porkchop -> Pig
- Raw Chicken -> Chicken
- Raw Beef -> Cow
- Raw Mutton -> Sheep
- Breeze Rod -> Breeze
- Raw Cod -> Cod
- Raw Salmon -> Salmon
- Pufferfish -> Pufferfish (mob)
- Ink Sac -> Squid
- Glow Ink Sac -> Glow Squid
- The following items can be used as fuel:
- Incense (2400 ticks)
- Ectoplasm (1600 ticks)
- Ghast Tear (600 ticks)
- Blaze Powder (900 ticks)
- Invoke Shard (4200 ticks)
- End Crystal Shard (12000 ticks)
Curse Altar
- You can find Tablet Fragments (and sometimes whole Cursed Tablets) inside Desert Pyramid Chests and Suspicious Sand.
- 9 Tablet Fragments can be crafted into 1 Cursed Tablet, and you can make a Curse Altar with it.
- A Curse Altar can remove all curses off any enchantable item (except Books), at the cost of 1 Cursed Tablet and 30 levels. This encourages you to save your curse lifts for items that you KNOW you want to use long-term.
- This system is still a heavy WIP, so it'll likely be easier to find Tablet Fragments and Cursed Tablets in the future...
- In the endgame, you can put End Crystals on a Curse Altar to make Purified End Crystals!
- Place 4 of these nearby an Enchanting Table, and you'll be able to enchant your items with treasure enchantments, including Mending!
Strange Core
- I promise this isn't nostalgia bait trust me
- The Unfinished Core now rarely generates in Piglin Bastion chests.
- An Unfinished Core can be transformed into the Reactive Core by combining it with two of each new Core Plate item, craftable from the best ores in the world.
- This is a placeholder; the Unfinished Core will require 4 unique plates in a later version.
- The Reactive Core can then be turned into a Strange Core with Iron and Diamonds.
- Looking similar to an item from days of Minecraft past, surround it with Blackstone and Mourning Gold Blocks in a similar fashion, then activate it to terraform the Overworld around you into Nether-equivalent blocks!
- Obtaining the Strange Core is necessary to convert Obsidian into Glowing Obsidian, which is needed to make a portal to...
The Crags
- A new endgame dimension below the Nether, home to Brimtan, Cragulstane, and several other horrors. Now you're at the core!
- Accessed via a Crags Portal built in the Nether.
- The portal can be made with 13 Glowing Obsidian: 5 in a plus-shape, then 7 outlining the plus one block above it. Fill it with Lava to activate it.
- While you're in the Crags, you'll see little red eyes appearing everywhere. These aren't harmless on their own...mostly.
- A "sanity" meter appears over your hunger bar while in the Crags. It goes down by 1 per minute, for a total of 20 minutes.
- The sanity meter will only recharge when you're not in the Crags, and cannot be extended.
- What happens when it runs out? Well, let's just say you don't want to find out.
New Building Blocks
- Hielostone
- Found in snowy biomes, spawning with Stone.
- Can be mined with an Iron Pickaxe or stronger.
- Colored a blue-grey tinge, and can be crafted into tiles, plates or bricks.
- Can be smelted into regular Stone. For whatever reason.
- Pale Prismarine
- Blocks in this set are crafted from 8 of any Prismarine block type + 1 Pale Prismarine Shard.
- All blocks in this set faintly pulsate in color, but are colored like the Elder Guardian.
- Acts as a nice compliment to Prismarine blocks!
- Sea Glass
- Crafted from 4 Prismarine Crystals and 1 Glass Block.
- Glows in the dark.
- Can be crafted into pane variants.
- Perfect as an alternative to Stained Glass.
- Turtle Scute Bricks
- Crafted from 8 Bricks and 1 Turtle Scute.
- Uh, looks like a turtle???? Duh????
- Has a unique Note Block sound.
- Nether Brick family
- Completed the Red Nether Brick set, adding cracked + chiseled bricks, and fence.
- Added Blue and Purple Nether Brick variants.
- Added Fence Gates for all Nether Brick colors.
- Cragulstane
- Found in the...y'know what, figure it out.
- Sounds disgusting.
- (The soundset is compatible with Sound Physics Remastered!)
- Can be crafted into Cragulstane Bricks.
- Cragulstane Bricks come in four totally epic flavors:
- Default
- Brimmed
- Tyrian
- Orange
- Makes a unique Note Block sound.
- Lumens
- You want colored Redstone Lamps? You got colored Redstone Lamps.
- Crafted from Redstone Dust, Glowstone, Lightning in a Bottle, and a material of your choice.
- Brightness depends on what material you choose, and the Redstone power:
- A power of 7 or less makes it dim, while a power of 8 or more makes it bright.
- Redstone and Echo Lumens are much dimmer than other lumens.
- Bountiful Fares Compat-Exclusive: you can also craft a Feldspar Lumen!
- Nacre Bricks
- Baked from Shulker Residue (dropped by destroyed Shulker Bullets) in a Furnace.
- Can be crafted into a new brick set.
Miscellaneous Things!
- Pale Trident
- A Hardmode upgrade to the Trident.
- Crafted from a Trident, Pale Prismarine and Elder Guardian Spines.
- Spines are dropped by Elder Guardians exclusively in Hardmode.
- Identical to the Trident for now, with 3 added damage. Will see an improvement later.
- Hardmode Horse Armor
- Cobalt Horse Armor can be found in Ominous Trial Vaults in Hardmode.
- Unlike other horse armors, it can be upgraded in a Crafting Table using Verdinite and Vivulite.
- Golden Eggs
- Have a chance to be laid by Chickens after feeding them a Golden Nugget.
- Using one provides the player with Allurement, which increases the amount of XP dropped by most mobs.
- Can also be cooked with Farmer's Delight installed, granting some more Allurement time.
- Totem of Avarice
- Crafted from Iron, Diamond, and Invoke Shards.
- Acts as a sort of a one-time
keepInventory
: as long as the totem is directly in your inventory, you'll keep all items you have and the totem will be consumed.- Naturally, the totem doesn't work in Hardcore or a world with
keepInventory
enabled.
- Naturally, the totem doesn't work in Hardcore or a world with
- The totem does not keep your levels, acting as a sort-of motivation to not just rely on Totems of Avarice.
- YIGD Compat-Exclusive: the Totem of Avarice will prioritize keeping your inventory instead of creating a gravestone.
- Warped Wart
- Replaces Nether Wart in Piglin Bastions.
- Currently, it's only useful for crafting decorative blocks; it will be used for a unique potion-making system in a later version.
- This system is partially implemented right now, but I don't feel like explaining it lol
- Balls
- A recreational item crafted from Wool, String, and Rabbit Hide.
- There's several ways to interact with a ball, including:
- Catching it with an empty hand
- Intercepting it with an item in your hand
- Hitting it with a sword, shovel, stick, bone, etc.
- Firing it from a Dispenser
- Getting hit with it
- (When held in hand) Dropping it when attacked
- The ball will alert all players nearby to any action mentioned above, allowing you to recreate your favorite ball games in multiplayer!
- Onyx Meal
- Crafted from Onyx Bones.
- Can be used to speed up the growth of Nether Wart and Warped Wart.
- Can also be used on Grass Blocks to kill any nearby foliage.
- Void Pearl
- Uses the old Eye of Ender crafting recipe.
- Can be used to remotely access your Ender Chest.
- Replaces the Eye of Ender in the Ender Chest recipe.
- Snow Melt
- Crafted from Leather and Frost Bones.
- Used to remove Snow Layers in a decent radius.
- Message in a Bottle
- Can store up to 32 characters on it before signing it.
- Throwing a closed Bottled Message into water in an Ocean or River biome will collect it.
- This message can then be fished up in the same biomes anywhere in the Overworld!
- The message is completely anonymous, making it perfect for giving coordinates to your own treasures or other secrets!
- Or just, like, writing "collect my pages" over and over. :T
- Inspired by this song. :)
- Truffle
- Dug up from Mycelium by Sniffers.
- Restores an obscene amount of Saturation.
- Can be fed to Hoglins to "tame" them, making them immune to zombification!
- Can be used to craft Truffle Oil, Truffle Potato Puffs and Beef Wellington.
- With Farmer's Delight installed, you can also make the ultimate food item: Truffle Pasta.
- Spirit Candle
- Crafted from Honeycombs, String, and Incense
- Weakens all undead mobs in a small area, making them unable to hurt you.
- Entity Models
- Obtained by killing specific entities with Shears while they're inflicted with Weakness and Slowness, breaking the Shears on use.
- The following entities can be turned into models:
- Creeper
- Slime (Medium)
- Skeleton
- Stray
- Bogged
- Wither Skeleton
- Blaze (can be powered with Redstone!)
- Magma Cube (Medium)
- Enderman
- Added 2 related advancements: "Lifelike Replica" and "Overworldian Psycho".
- New Armor Trims
- Sludge (design by @sen_pop on Discord): Rarely found in Monster Rooms.
- Photon (design by Xenona and KirbyTG): Rarely dropped by the Wither.
- Pulse (design by @jesterrcore on Discord): Rarely found in Treasure Chests.
- Music Disc (Diaphragm)
- Composed by Artyrian (ew).
- Found in altar chests in the Crags.
Currently Unused
- Are unobtainable in Survival, and will be given a purpose at a later date. These include:
- Tower Bricks
- Void Diamond
- Pitch Ingot
- Tower Key
- Withered Essence
- Plate Armor
Vanilla Changes
Wither
- Killing a Wither is now required to progress in the game; its death will enable the collection of Cobalt, Verdinite and Vivulite.
- Attempting to mine these ores prior to the Wither's defeat will cause them to wither away.
- Mace damage against a Wither has been SIGNIFICANTLY nerfed due to how quickly it can end what's supposed to be an important fight.
- When the Wither is above 50% HP, Maces can only do a maximum of 30 damage no matter what.
- Once the Wither has its armor, it is completely impossible to damage a Wither with a Mace whatsoever; attempting this will cause the player to be parried and inflicted with Weakness II.
- When wearing a full set of Rotcross Armor, Withers can be attacked with projectiles even after it has armor.
- Added/changed some related advancements:
- "Withering Heights" has been (
as it should be) renamed back to "The Beginning?". - Added a new advancement, "The Beginning.", granted to all nearby players on the Wither's defeat.
- "Withering Heights" has been (
Until I do my own Wither overhaul, it is SERIOUSLY recommended to play Frontiers with BE Style Wither installed. I would almost consider it a requirement for the moment.
Player
- Now drops their respective head when killed by a charged Creeper.
- Yeah, I'm aware several mods have added this, but none of them do it in a way I enjoy, so I decided to make that a baked-in feature.
- Specific players (mostly some people mentioned in the credits section) that drop their heads this way will have unique Note Block sounds (CURRENTLY UNFINISHED). It's a niche little easter egg that you'll probably never run into.
- All other player heads play the default hurt noise.
- This doesn't affect heads obtained in Creative mode.
Lightning
- Now has a unique appearance when created by a player, i.e a Trident with Channeling.
- This appearance can be disabled in the config.
End Crystal
- Completely overhauled, now taking 3 hits to destroy it.
- Once hit, the crystal will appear damaged and emit beams of light.
- Plays visual cues when hit, which can be heard from a long distance. Will make a loud "wail" on the second hit, signifying it's close to exploding.
- Naturally generated End Crystals drop several End Crystal Shards when destroyed, which fly in all directions.
- Recipe updated to utilize End Crystal Shards.
- When placed near Budding Amethyst, any crystals grown from it will "corrupt". These crystals drop End Crystal Shards, allowing for renewable End Crystals.
Ender Chest
- Recipe changed to use a Void Pearl instead of an Eye of Ender due to progression changes.
- Texture slightly updated to reflect this recipe change.
- This will be able to be reverted in the config in a later release.
Lightning Rod
- When connected to another rod in the same direction, it will extend, making them all look like one large rod
- When lightning strikes a rod that has connected rods, the electricity will travel along the rod's direction up to 16 blocks, allowing for rods to be chained.
- (Not exactly accurate to how it works in real life, but like lightning will strike floating rods in this game so really what kind of argument is that)
Brewing Stand
- Can now have a Lightning Rod attached to it. When the rod is struck, any Glass Bottles inside the stand get converted into Lightning in a Bottle
- As you can expect with the aforementioned changes to the Lightning Rod, the attached Lightning Rod can be extended up to 16 blocks before it's unable to reach the Brewing Stand
- Visibly shows when Lightning in a Bottle is inside the stand; the bottles will appear blue!
Note Block
- Added several new sounds for the Note Block, including:
- Log Drum (Turtle Scute Blocks)
- Ice Bell (Block of Frostite)
- Harpsichord (Block of Mourning Gold)
- Steel Drum (Sea Glass/Pale Sea Glass)
- "RoboLung" (Cragulstane)
Fletching Table
- Now has a proper UI for the new specialty arrow crafting system. Jarring, isn't it?
Hoglin
- Can now be "tamed" with Truffles. Doing this provides a challenge advancement.
- "Tamed" Hoglins don't attack the player on sight, and are immune to zombification in the Overworld.
- Naturally, they will still retaliate if attacked, including the player that tamed them.
- Naming a Hoglin "Wizpig" now gives it a unique appearance.
- Unrelated but Diddy Kong Racing is goated
Snow Golem
- Naming a Snow Golem "Romeo" or "Admin" now gives it a unique appearance. Gotta seperate the diamonds from the gravel, here.
Parrot
- Fall distance before dismounting a player has been increased, unless the player is sneaking.
- This can be disabled in the config.
- Naming a parrot "Lovebirb", "Keynis" or "Kazooie" now gives it a unique appearance, regardless of color.
Shulker
- Bullets created by Shulkers have a chance to drop Shulker Residue when destroyed by a player.
- Shulker Residue can be used to craft a variety of different items, specifically Nacre Bricks.
Evoker
- No longer drop Totems of Undying. Instead, they drop several Invoke Shards.
- Invoke Shards can be used to craft Totems of Undying.
- (This, in my opinion, adds more value to a Totem, as I believe they've become far too easy to obtain in recent years. If you so choose, you can disable this change in the config file - Invoke Shards can still be found in Pillager Outposts!)
- The shards can also be used to craft several unique tools, such as the Tome of Fangs.
Vex
- Killing a Vex while it's enraged will cause it to emit red particles.
- It will also have a 50% chance to drop Incense.
Ravager
- Now have a chance to drop Ravager Fangs when killed.
Ghasts
- Now drops Ectoplasm when killed by a player.
Wither Skeleton
- Now drops Onyx Bones instead of Bones and Coal.
Stray
- Now shoots Subzero Arrows in Hardmode.
- Now drops Frost Bones instead of Bones.
- Frost Bones can be crafted into Snow Melt. It...does what it do.
- Frost Bones can be smelted into regular Bones in a Furnace.
- Drops Slowness Arrows before the Wither, and Subzero Arrows in Hardmode.
Guardian
- Replaced Cod with Guardian Slices in the loot table.
Elder Guardian
- Has now been promoted from miniboss to boss.
- Health has been increased from 80 -> 200.
- Attacking an Elder Guardian will cause a boss bar to appear.
- Replaced Cod with Elder Guardian Slices & Prismarine Shards with Pale Prismarine Shards in the loot table.
Ender Dragon
- Health has been increased from 200 -> 1500.
- Will tweak this at a later date to scale based on nearby players. For now, enjoy a TRUE challenge! :3c
- Increased damage output against players.
- It is highly recommended to go into this fight wearing Verdinite armor or stronger now.
- Will no longer damage players that are in-flight, due to End Crystal Shards allowing the player to fly.
- The Advancement "Free the End" has been changed;
- Now called "The End."
- Granted to ALL nearby players on defeat.
Warden
- Hitting a Warden will cause a boss bar to appear.
- Hey, if you hit it, that's on you, buddy. If you wanna try killing it, be my guest.
- Killing a Warden now provides a Frontier advancement.
- The Warden drop pool has been overriden. Instead of 1 Sculk Catalyst, it now drops a Heart of the Warden.
- The Heart of the Warden is currently just a trophy item; it will have a use in a later version.
Various Other Changes:
- Glistering Melon is now edible.
- Rose Bushes now drop 4 Roses when sheared, similar to the Frontiers bush variants.
- Tridents can now be repaired with Prismarine Shards. Why couldn't they do that, anyway?
- Breeze Rods now use the Handheld model instead of the Generated model. This specific thing has irked me for the longest time. :')
- Fishing Rods now use Bedrock's 3D bobber model on Fancy graphics or better. This can be disabled in the config.
- Changed a handful of Vanilla recipes, including:
- Fire Charge
- Eye of Ender
- Ender Chest
- Added, uh, a LOT of unique splash texts - all while keeping the Vanilla ones intact.
- Several new rarity types. Not really noticeable, but it's there anyway.
- Automatic "Here be dragons!" warning suppresion for custom dimensions, i.e. the Crags. Since you're playing modded, you likely already know the risks and don't want to see this every time you play.
- You can re-enable the screen in the config file.
- Do NOT play this mod on April Fools. Do NOT set your calendar to April 1st. You will regret it.
