FusionFix is a client-side compatibility patch for Fusion that fixes connected and animated textures rendering as solid black on Intel integrated GPUs with the Gen7 graphics architecture (Intel HD Graphics 2500 / 4000, found in 3rd and 4th generation Intel Core processors).
Why you need this
If you use Fusion on affected Intel hardware, connected textures and scrolling textures show up as solid black blocks instead of their intended appearance. This is caused by a driver incompatibility with Minecraft 26.2's modern texture upload method (copyBufferToTexture), the same root cause behind the vanilla animated texture bug tracked as MC-308593. Fusion reimplements its own texture upload using the same problematic method for its connected/scrolling textures, so the vanilla fix alone does not resolve it.
FusionFix redirects Fusion's texture upload to the older, driver-compatible writeToTexture method instead, fixing the black textures with no noticeable performance impact (the fix only runs once, when textures are loaded, not during gameplay).
Before you download
- This mod only matters if you're affected by the bug above. If your GPU renders Fusion's textures correctly already, you don't need this.
- Requires Fusion to be installed — this mod does nothing on its own.
- Client-side only; does not need to be installed on servers.
- Published with permission from Fusion's author, SuperMartijn642.
