🌱 Garden Trails Patch Notes v0.1.13

New entity: the rare Quetzal bird!
- Added the Quetzal, a new bird that spawns in jungles and drops feathers, with its spawn egg
- It can be tamed with the new Quetzal Offering, told to sit or follow, and can land on your shoulder
- Added the garden mode: right-click a tamed Quetzal to cycle follow, sit and garden. In garden mode it stays in place and speeds up the growth of nearby plants
- A Quetzal on your shoulder gives the new Quetzal Trust effect, a speed bonus that lasts as long as the bird stays on you
- Added the Reunited Brothers effect, replacing Quetzal Trust when you wear a Quetzalcoatl chestplate from Armor of the Ages: same speed bonus plus reduced damage taken
- Added the blue, green and red feathers, dropped by the Quetzal
- Added the Quetzal Offering, the only item that can tame a Quetzal. The Quetzal Offering and the Quetzal spawn egg are now uncommon (yellow name)
- Added the blue petals, obtained by drying a commelina in a drying tray
- Added the grains and seeds mix: works like bone meal on plants and doubles the taming chance of parrots
- Added datapack tags for tameable birds, boosted plants and chestplates that trigger Reunited Brothers
New unique crafting system: Sake
- Added the Sake Vat, a fermenting block that turns three ingredients into sake bottles
- Added five sakes: regular sake, mulberry, grape, maize and tea. Each one is drinkable and gives a short boost followed by a debuff
- Drinking the same sake several times in a row extends the boost and adds stacking penalties
- Added the washed rice, obtained by washing rice in a water cauldron. Cooked rice is now smelted from washed rice
- Added the mold and the moldy rice. Fermented rice is now obtained by drying moldy rice in a drying tray
- Added the
gardentrails:fermentingrecipe type for datapacks - Added "Sake Process" tooltips on the rotten oak log, mold, rice, washed rice, cooked rice, moldy rice, fermented rice and the Sake Vat to explain the whole chain
New blocks: Rotten Wood & Lattices
- Added 3 rotten tree structures that generates in swamps
- Added the rotten oak log and the soaked oak log. Brushing a rotten oak log gives mold
- Added the full rotten oak wood set: planks, stairs, slab, edge, plate, fence, fence gate and trapdoor
- Added the iron, copper and oxidized copper lattices. Up to four panels fit in one block and plants can grow on them like on pergolas
Arrows
- Added the red, green and blue arrows, crafted with a colored feather. They hit slightly more than a regular arrow
- Added the Quetzal arrow, crafted with the three colored feathers, a bone and an amethyst shard. It hits even more than a regular arrow
Integration
- JEI: added the Fermenting and Drying categories
- Armor of the Ages: the Quetzalcoatl head, chest and feet recipes now use Quetzal feathers, configurable
Improvements
- Added tooltips on the Ivy, the Cypress and the Quetzal Offering, and unified the style of all tooltips
- Each color of wild geranium now has its own biome list and spawn rate in the config
- Bonemeal now works on pergola vines, ivy and grapes
- The cypress in its flower pot now follows the biome foliage color
- Plates and edges now connect to panes, iron bars and walls
- Regular mobs and NPC now see decorative blocks as obstacles instead of walking through them
- The silkmoth spawn egg now appears in the creative tab
Fixes
- Fixed the orange and green maple trees never spawning on Fabric
- Fixed the cypress flower pot item not being tinted in hand and inventory
Removed
- Removed the four old sake bottles with their models, recipes and cumulative effects
- Removed the Serious Business and Sake-chan advancements
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
