Changes
Gardener's Dream is now kept up to date on older Minecraft versions too - every version gets the same v2.6 features, as far as the game allows.
Added
- Overlay plants. Vines, Glow Lichen and Sculk Veins can now share a pot with another plant. Rotating with a stick only spins the main plant.
- Off-hand alternative plants. Sneak on a pot with the plant in your off-hand (main hand not holding a plant) to place an alternative look:
- Small Dripleaf → just the stem
- Mangrove Propagule → the fully grown hanging propagule
- Wall-mounted player heads are now supported as well.
- Plants follow the head's rotation. Plants placed on a rotated player head are turned to match it.
- Planting from the same level. Small pots (flower pots, head pots, potted plants) can now be planted while standing inside the pot's block instead of having to be on top of it — no more breaking the block above a pot to reach it.
Also included (everything from v2.4.3 / v2.5.2, if you are coming from an older release)
- Half-pot toggle. Turn crouch-placed cauldron/composter half-pots on or off in the settings menu (
/function gardenersdream:_settings). - Modded plant support — saplings, flowers, leaves and corals are picked up through item tags.
- Farmland and lily pads show plants at the full (wide) size with corrected heights.
- Lots of bugfixes!
Notes for this version
- Plants that don't exist yet in this version (pale garden plants, Leaf Litter, Wildflowers, bushes, dry grass…) are simply skipped.
- Recipes can't give custom items before 1.20.5, so the stonecutter head pots and stonecutter half-pot items are not available here. You can use other ways to get heads.
- Because of that, crouch-placed half-pots are ON by default in this build (toggle in the settings menu).
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
