Teyvat's wilds, in your world
Hilichurl camps smoking on a hillside at dawn. A Cryo Regisvine tearing its way out of the snow. Abyss Mages raising their shields as you close in. Crystalflies drifting over the water at dusk.
Genshin Nature put all of that into Minecraft — then stopped in 2022, stranded on version 1.16.5.
It runs again. Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge) and 1.20.1 (Forge), with the original team's blessing.
This is an authorized port of Genshin Nature by the fapdos team, published with their permission. Every mob, every build, every texture and system is theirs. I moved it forward across five major Minecraft versions and repaired what broke on the way.
What's inside
435 entities — Hilichurls, Mitachurls and Lawachurls, Slimes of every element, Abyss Mages, Ruin Guards, Regisvines, Hypostases, Azhdaha, wildlife and fish.
188 structures — camps, Shrines of Depths, boss arenas, hidden chests, shops and domains scattered across the world.
555 recipes — cooking, artifacts, weapons, wishes.
Visions — pick your element and use it.
Plus artifacts to farm and upgrade, custom enchantments, fishing, and a shelf's worth of character plushies.
Pick your file
- Minecraft 1.21.1 — NeoForge 21.1.232 or later
- Minecraft 1.20.1 — Forge 47.3.0 or later
Same content, same fixes, either way.
What the port actually fixed
Nothing was added and nothing was removed. Jumping this many Minecraft versions breaks a great deal silently — a mod can compile perfectly and still be quietly ruined. Finding and repairing that was the work, and every item below was verified in game, not merely compiled.
Creatures, not Steve clones
402 of the 406 renderers had silently fallen back to the default player model. Every creature in the mod looked like Steve — and the build was green the whole time. 226 entity models were rebuilt into the modern format.
The plushies stopped being black boxes
168 blocks — every plushie, door, fence and monument — were drawing solid black where they should have been transparent.
Mobs live where they belong
Any 1.16.5 biome without a modern equivalent was silently renamed to plains, which left 147 of the 177 spawn lists dumping deep-ocean fish, desert mobs and forest mobs into the same meadow. Cryo mobs have their snowy peaks back.
Abyss Mages stopped paving the sky
They are meant to turn lava into obsidian and water into ice. The block ids they tested against had silently become "air" — so they paved the open air instead.
Structures that actually land
The biggest piece of work. The mod's builds are now real Minecraft structures: /locate finds them, they settle into the terrain instead of hovering over it, and they can no longer be sliced off at a chunk border. They used to be world-generation features, which are not allowed to write past their own chunk — large builds were being truncated depending on which way you walked, filling the log with thousands of errors. That count is now zero.
They also stopped landing on top of each other: the minimum distance between any two structures went from 13 blocks to 66. No more floating, half-buried or sea-bound buildings. Underwater ruins stay underwater. Trees are anchored on their trunk instead of a corner of their template, so they no longer dangle off ledges.
Rimeworn fragments drop again
Along with Mitachurl shield regeneration — both were gated behind a biome tag that no longer exists, so the check was always false and neither ever fired.
Known issues
- Some mobs can spawn a large number of entities and lag the game when they take small repeated damage, such as suffocating inside a block.
- The mod covers Genshin content up to the Sumeru update — no Fontaine, no Natlan.
- Sea flowers can be placed in mid-air.
- Vanilla lava lakes generate after structures and can cut through them. Minecraft only shields its own villages from that, in code no datapack can reach.
Requirements
- 1.21.1 build — NeoForge 21.1.232 or later
- 1.20.1 build — Forge 47.3.0 or later
- No other dependencies

Found something wrong?
Say which Minecraft version and which loader you are on, and attach logs/latest.log. If it is a crash, the file in crash-reports/ is the one I need.
Worth knowing before you report: this port guarantees that nothing crashes and that every reference resolves. It does not guarantee that all 1086 of the mod's procedures still behave the way their authors intended — that needs players who know the mod. If a boss feels wrong, a recipe gives the wrong amount, or a quest does not chain properly, that is exactly the kind of report I cannot produce myself and would be glad to receive.
