The original goal of this mod was simply to add configuration options for making Create's contraption-making more complex and mechanically engaging. Since then, I've also added bits of original content to it, especially to support an upcoming modpack.
Configuration:
- Blacklist Create contraption actors, preventing selected blocks from functioning on contraptions.
- Configure if the Mechanical Saw can multibreak whole trees at once.
- Overhaul the Drill and Saw actors to both function like a Drill, but with their own pickaxe+shovel/axe+hoe specialties for mine speed.
- Configure the displayed recipe catalyst of Fan Processing categories in recipe viewers (i.e. changing the water/lava/fire/soul-fire to a different block)
- Configure unfiltered Mechanical Saws to always try crafting a preferred output (stripped logs, planks, stairs) instead of randomly cycling between all possible recipes.
- Add custom Mysterious Conversion recipes for display in Recipe Viewers.
Misc:
- Ports automatic train (dis)assembly from Steam 'n' Rails, via a Deployer wrenching the Train Station block (disabled if installed alongside)
- New recipe type: Precision Assembly: a Mechanical Arm processes the item on an adjacent belt/depot. Supports Sequenced Assembly. Can require an empty arm, or require a held item. Can be used instead of Deployers in Sequenced Assembly recipes (or configurably, for all deploying).
- Lecterns on a contraption can be interacted with to place down a Linked Controller, or pick it back up
New Content:
- New Linked Controller variants: a Linked Remote with one instantly-pressable button, a Linked Keypad with the number keys 1-9, and a Linked Macro Controller with 8 additional buttons.
- Control Seat: when sitting in it, looking around will emit redstone signals in each direction, corresponding to the pitch and yaw.
- Industrial Fan: an oversized variant of the Encased Fan, without the casing. Effects a 3x3 column of air.
- Fluid Barrel: a variant of the Fluid Tank with an open top and the ability to manually bucket fluids in and out, but has reduced capacity and can't store gases or superheated liquids.
- Gramophone: a variant of the Jukebox which requires rotational power, which can play music discs at different speeds.
- Hinge Bearing: a variant of the Mechanical Bearing which doesn't take any rotation input, the player can interact with its contraption to manually push it open or pull it shut.
- Handles: decorative complements to the Hinge Bearing, which play an appropriate door-opening sound when used to open one.
- Glue Spreader: when powered by redstone, blocks in front of adjacent Glue Spreaders are glued together.
- Encapsulator: when powered by redstone, connected blocks in front of the Encapsulator are stored into a placeable Capsule item.
New Generators:
- Haunted Cogwheel: a small cogwheel that spins on its own, but randomly changes speed and will break if it isn't in sole control of its network.
- Breeze Whirler: has the size and connectivity of a large cogwheel, spun by a captured Breeze.
- Clockwork Motor: after time is spent winding it up with a Hand Crank or Wind-Up Key (or any other source), it will temporarily produce rotation while it spins back down.
