Unlock Enchants

Once you collect 6 books of any enchant and level in a nearby Chiseled Bookshelf (e.g 6 Efficiency V books), you now have access to that enchantment for free.

Unlock Levels

Starting out, the enchanting table will only give level 1 enchants, in order to receive higher levels you must have 6 books of the level below the level you want to receive. E.g 6 Effeciency 1 books to begin receiving Effeciency 2 via the random enchant.

Increase Chance

Each additional enchanted book put into a nearby chiseled bookshelf increases the odds of receiving that same enchant again randomly.

Though, once you have 6 enchanted books of a specific enchant, you won't receive it anymore randomly. This is so you can systematically collect enchants.

Costs

Before you can collect 6 books, you'll need to randomly enchant some books. Random enchant costs now follow a scale based on how many levels it has divided by 30.
