Great Sage

The Great Sage finally has a voice. And a face. And a lot to say.

An addon for Tensura: Reincarnated that gives Daikenja what the base mod never had time to give it: a voice, a presence, and the anime's great moments, played out in your own world.

Every skill you unlock is announced out loud, in Japanese, by name. Every evolution, every awakening, every ceremony becomes a full-screen scene. Press G and the Sage opens its console. Press V and it reads the creature in front of you. Say "Great Sage" and ask it anything.

Why this exists

I kept unlocking skills in Tensura and reading them in chat. That was it. The single most iconic thing about the Great Sage, that flat, calm system voice telling you exactly what you just gained, was not there.

So I made it.

It announces what you gain

Unlock a skill and the Sage says it: the class, then the name, with the kanji slamming onto the screen on the exact syllable it is spoken. Ten skills at once? One announcement, grouped by class, not ten on top of each other.

Prefer something discreet? Quiet mode keeps the Sage in a corner with a small bubble. Same voice, you keep playing.

The anime's great moments, as real scenes

With shader rendering (on by default), the big moments are full-screen scenes with their own music and ambience, and nothing can hurt or push you while they play:

• Species evolution: the Sage petitions the Voice of the World, waits, then names what you were and what you become.
• The ceremonies: Hero Egg, Demon Lord Seed, Harvest Festival, True Hero, and the True Demon Lord awakening as the ultimate finale.
• Raphael's evolution, rebuilt shot by shot from episode 35.
• Skill fusion: the skills slam into your screen as anime skill cards, the screen shatters, and the shards come back together as the new skill. Works with any addon.
• Naming: name a monster and the camera pulls to the side. Your magicules flow into it, it lights up as it absorbs them, and the Sage reports its new name. If it evolves, the Voice of the World confirms it.

Reincarnation: the Sea of Souls

Die, and you wake above a lake of souls under the stars. Draw your wishes with as many strokes as you want: each figure grants something, many are hidden, and the table reshuffles every life. Addon Unique skills can show up too, following Tensura's own reincarnation list. Playing Tensura's Rimuru mode? You get a narrated birth, straight out of episode 1.

The Voice of the World

It speaks to the whole server. When someone awakens as a True Demon Lord, starts the Harvest Festival or becomes a True Hero, every player hears it, with a banner at the top of the screen.

The console: press G

The Sage's console, a living icosahedron with its faculties around it:

• Analysis: the Sage breaks a skill down so you master it without using it. The price is real: the skill is unusable while it is analysed. Up to several analyses at once as the Sage grows.
• Growth tree: the Sage levels up as it learns (new species observed, new skills recorded, new items appraised) and you spend points on what it can do.
• Records: every skill in your modpack, with class, mastery, cost and source mod. Searchable.
• Observations: every creature you have read, with its 3D model, abilities and average existence value.
• Battle mode and Settings, all in game.

Assess: press V

The interface disappears and the Sage reads the world. Every living thing shows an aura sized by its existence value, visible through walls. Lock a target and hold: species, existence value, health, awakening, alignment and its rarest abilities, filed straight into your Observations.

Standing near something far above you makes you sick. And past a certain point, the target simply refuses to be read.

Magic Sense: press N

With a sense skill such as Magic Sense, you feel how strong everything around you is. Every being gets an aura shaped like its body, colored by alignment (violet Majin, white-gold Hero, red Chaos, green neutral) and sized by its EP. It keeps growing: a massive aura in the distance means run.

Thought Acceleration: press H

With the Great Sage or Thought Acceleration, the world freezes into cold colors, sounds drag down, your heartbeat takes over, and incoming projectiles show their path, in red if they are going to hit you. Solo, the whole world slows down while your camera stays free. In multiplayer, a bubble around you slows creatures and projectiles.

Talk to it

Say "Great Sage" and ask, in one breath: what is my existence value, can I evolve, analyse Predator, can I beat it, where did I die, toggle battle mode… 220+ voice commands, fully offline (nothing leaves your computer). No microphone? Type /sage <request>.

And it talks on its own, sparingly: ore behind the block you just broke, lava three blocks away, something walking up behind you, a tool about to break, an evolution getting close. One switch turns it off, and the Delete key silences everything instantly.

A skill from an addon the Sage doesn't know yet simply shows its name without a voice. Nothing breaks.

Requirements

• Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1+
• Tensura: Reincarnated 2.0+, with ManasCore and Architectury

Addons are optional: the mod adapts to whatever is loaded.
