Grounded Drop

A lightweight client-side visual mod that changes how dropped items are displayed in Minecraft.

Instead of using the default floating item appearance, dropped items are rendered lying flat on the ground, giving item drops a more natural and grounded look. Items remain fully recognizable and functional while receiving a simple visual change that fits better with a scattered-item style.

The mod only changes the visual presentation of dropped items and does not alter item behavior, pickup mechanics, physics, or gameplay.

The implementation is intentionally lightweight and focused on the item drop renderer, with no unnecessary background processing or performance-heavy systems. Fully standalone with no additional dependencies required. Safe to use in both singleplayer and multiplayer, as it operates entirely on the client side and only changes how dropped items are rendered.
