Grounded Items

Grounded Items changes the way dropped items behave in Minecraft. Instead of floating, spinning, and being collected automatically when you walk nearby, dropped items rest naturally on surfaces and must be right-clicked to pick up.

The goal is to make dropped items feel more physical and intentional while keeping the system simple and lightweight.

Features

Dropped items rest on the ground instead of floating and spinning. Flat items lie naturally on surfaces. Block items remain upright. Walking over dropped items does not collect them. Right-click an item to pick it up. Accidental left-clicking does nothing. Items can rest on top of other dropped items. Separately dropped items remain visible instead of immediately merging. Drop an item normally using the drop key. Walk up to it, aim at the item, and right-click to collect it.
