He's Watching
Every so often, something appears at the edge of your vision. Never straight ahead, always off to the side, just barely in view. Look directly at it, and it's gone.
Features
Spawns rarely, and only at an angle that keeps it in your peripheral vision — never dead-center where you'd notice it immediately.
Only ever appears on solid ground, in a spot you actually have a clear line of sight to and enough light to see — never buried in leaves, floating over water, or hidden somewhere pointless. If you move and lose sight of it before you've looked directly at it, it leaves rather than lingering unseen.
Vanishes the instant you actually look at it directly — not just glance past it. If you never look its way at all, it eventually leaves on its own. Rarely, it comes back again a few minutes later, somewhere nearby.
Never appears in the same spot twice in a row, and favors the darker, less- watched side of wherever you are.
Appears more often, and closer, when you're alone.
Its head tracks you while it's there. Look closely, and its eyes have the faintest glow.
