Hide Names Fabric Mod (Minecraft 1.21)
Hide Names is a simple and fun Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21 that removes player name tags. Now you can play hide-and-seek with your friends on servers or LAN without any visible name tags!
Please note: Only player name tags are removed. Compasses, maps, and other tracking items remain fully functional.
Fabric API is required. Tested with: fabric-api-0.102.0+1.21
.

Planned Features
-
Player Tag Visibility Toggle:
- Admins can enable or disable the visibility of player tags in multiplayer mode.
-
Default Visibility Settings:
- By default, player names are visible.
- Names will be hidden if there is an obstruction (e.g., a block) between the player and the observer (note: this does not apply to transparent objects).
-
Armor Enchantment:
- An enchantment can be applied to armour (helmets) that hides the player's name regardless of any obstructions.
-
Go fully server-side.
Features that MAY be added (depends on the vote results)
-
Skin obfuscation:
- A special type of armour that completely conceals the player's skin, including the face—think of ninja suits.
-
A name change:
- A non-craftable, single-use item (similar to the nametag) that can temporarily change username to a random/selected name (work in progress).
These features are not planned yet. These are the recommendations, whether you like them or not, let me know!
