iammojogo's Dynamic Lights Mod
Support development directly on Ko-fi! Mod Community - Ko-fi
Dynamic lighting made simple — light up your held items, dropped items, other players, glowing mobs, and even active redstone, all using Minecraft's real light render API. No fake torch spam, no mod needed on the server.
✨ WHAT LIGHTS UP • Held / offhand items — any item whose block gives off light (torches, lanterns, glowstone, shulker boxes…) plus things that clearly glow: glowstone dust, glow ink sac, glow lichen, glow berries, redstone, nether star, blaze rod, blaze powder, fire charge, spectral arrows • Dropped items glow at half strength • Other players' glowing items — scan works on vanilla servers • Glowing & burning entities — blazes, magma cubes, glow squids, allays, spectral arrows, fireballs, charging creepers, anything on fire • Powered redstone — active wire, repeaters, comparators, levers and buttons light up the area around them • Luminous dropped items get a soft blue outline so they're easy to spot
🛠 CONFIG An in-game settings screen and a config file let you toggle each feature: • Dynamic Lighting (master switch) • Powered Redstone Lights • Entity Lights • Server Sync — let the server broadcast other players' lights when the mod is installed on it too (optional; the built-in client scan works without it)
🔧 COMPATIBILITY Works with JEI, JourneyMap, Xaero's Minimap, Optifine and most client-side mods. Client-side only — no server installation needed.
📌 Requirements: Minecraft 1.21.11 · Forge 61+ or Fabric · Java 21
