Changelog — Dynamic Lights Mod 1.1.3 Bug fixes
Fixed a crash that logged a crash report when quitting the game (the light tick now guards against a null level during world unload). New: Multiplayer lighting sync
Lighting is now synced so other players can see your held torches and glowing dropped items (and vice versa). The server gathers and broadcasts light positions to every player. Note: the mod must now be installed on both client and server for multiplayer. New: Partial-block lighting fix
Held/dropped light no longer flickers out when standing in or near partial blocks (dripstone, tall grass, slabs, wall decorations, etc.). Only genuinely solid full blocks block the light now. New: Held & dropped lighting for all light sources
Any light-emitting block item (torch, glowstone, lantern, shroomlight, etc.) — including from other mods — now glows when held or dropped, automatically. New: Forced luminous items
Added lighting for items that don't naturally emit light but appear to glow or are associated with light: Glowstone dust (14), glow ink sac (7), glow lichen (5), glow berries (7) Redstone dust (7), redstone repeater (9), redstone comparator (9) Spectral arrow (7), nether star (14), blaze rod (7), blaze powder (5), fire charge (5) All forced items are resolved by registry ID with existence checks, so the list is safe to port across Minecraft versions (missing items are simply skipped).
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
