This mod overhauls the enchanting and repairing systems in Minecraft and adds some new enchantments.
Major changes
1. Enchanting cap based on tool tier
- Items have a cap on the amount of enchantments they can have depending on item or tool tier.
- The material repair cost also varies based on tier.
- Items reaching the cap cannot have new enchantments added to them.
- Items exceeding the cap (Overcharged items) cannot be repaired.

2. Repair Changes
- Items can be repaired with a material called Vitalis (crafted with diamond, lapis, and copper) with no XP cost.

- Items with more enchantments are more expensive to repair.
- Alternatively, items can be repaired with other items which will cost XP.
- Repair costs are capped at 30 levels.
- There is no such thing as “Too Expensive”.
- Items with the new Forgery enchantment are significantly cheaper to repair.
3. Mutex Removed & Level 5 Enchants
- All enchantments can go to Level 5 (except Silk Touch), and mutually exclusive enchantments are removed (except Fortune/Silk Touch).
- Some enchantments such as Fortune are slightly nerfed to prevent enchantments such as Fortune V or Protection V from being too overpowered.

- Some enchantments are given special behavior to account for the new system:

| Infinity | Infinity I has a 50% chance to keep an arrow. Infinity V has a 100% chance to keep an arrow. |
| Channeling | Each level of Channeling creates more lightning. |
| Multishot | Each level of Multishot adds 2 more arrows (but increases durability usage). |
| Riptide | Defaults to normal behavior when on dry land, but increases Trident range. |
| Silk Touch | Each level increases the tool’s mining level. Useful if you want the lower tiers to mine blocks such as obsidian. |
4. Changes to Combining Enchantments
- Enchantments will take the sum of levels rather than incrementing by one when the enchantments are the same level.
- Eg: Sharpness I + Sharpness III = Sharpness IV

5. The Crystal Globe
- You can craft a Crystal Globe using amethyst, glass, diamond, and iron. Using enchanted items on a Crystal Globe will strip each enchantment by 1 level. Eg if you use a Sharpness III sword on the globe it will become Sharpness II. This is useful if you want to take away enchantments to avoid hitting the enchantment cap.
- As you give the Crystal Globe enchantments, eventually it will reach full power. Once this is reached, you can interact with the Globe with an empty hand and you will receive a 5 minute status effect called Enchanted. Under this effect, all levels you’d normally receive from the enchanting table are incremented by 1.

6. Overcharging Items
- You can find items exceeding the enchantment cap in loot. Or you can occasionally get an Overcharged item using the enchanting table. Overcharged items cannot be repaired or have enchantments added to them, they are special equipment.

7. Linear XP Scaling
- Experience will scale linearly instead of exponentially.
- You will always gain 1 experience level for every 15 experience points gained.
8. Gilded Books
- You can craft books and gold ingots together to obtain Gilded Books
- Gilded Books work like regular books but you will receive high level rare enchantments when used in the enchanting table.

9. Enchantment Rarity
- The Mending enchantment can now be obtained from the enchanting table.
- Some enchantment rarities have also changed:

10. New Enchantments

11. Enchantments in Loot
- Enchanted books can be found in loot which matches the theme of their enchantments. For example fire related enchantments are found in the nether fortress.

12. Minor Changes
- Maximum number of levels you can get back after death is uncapped instead of 7
- Copper, iron, and gold ores drop experience
- Renaming items in the anvil is free
- Mod config letting you modify some settings and enchanting caps
- To prevent too many unwanted levels, some enchantment levels are clamped in the enchanting table. For example you’ll never get an item higher than Forgery I (without the Enchanted status effect). That way your tools won’t be enchanted with enchantments such as Forgery V hogging all the slots. Clamped values include:
- Forgery (I)
- Silk Touch (I)
- Unbreaking (III)
- Mending (II)
- Silk Touch is considered a special enchantment since it is capped at 1 and has mutex with Fortune. As such it appears with a different color similar to curses
