Patches, Changes and Additions:
- Improved Impact Particles (Added Smoke and Dust to add more intensity alongside the existing "Poof" particles.)
- Remade Particle spawn Logic (Explosion particles and impact particles can now spawn at any distance, and are also client side now.)
- Audio Overhaul (Different sounds will play for weapons and explosions based on distance)
- Projectile Improvements (Bullets no longer drop and are more accurate.)
- AI Attack Logic Changes (AI now fire in bursts as opposed to rapid firing)
- Removed Firing Animation (To fix a Transition Bug of which caused the firing animation and death animation to play at the same time)
- Removed Security (Out of scope for this project as of now.)
- Removed Structures (Also out of scope. I am one person and I realized how much work a lot of this is to actually get working.)
- Removed Radio
Bug Fixes:
- Insurgent Death animations no longer merge with Firing animations making it look very awkward. (As the firing animations no longer exist.)
- Fixed particles not spawning beyond minecraft's default distance (Thanks to the new particle spawn logic)
- Fixed audio not playing beyond the default 16 block distance. (FINALLY... Thanks to the new Audio Overhaul!)
- Projectiles no longer bounce off of the player when they are hit multiple times in a set time. (Bypassing minecraft's default "Hit Cooldown".)
- Standing close to insurgents will no longer make their bullets bounce off the player and hit themselves
Developer Notes:
- As of now, this is the most polished version of this mod that we have had. I have spent most of my time going through and generally polishing all of the bugs that have existed since alpha. I know I have had to remove a lot of features and this is mainly due to a couple of things. I am not a great builder so I decided to remove Structures. They take up too much of my time balancing the spawns and generally making them look "Decent". The reason for the removal of Security is now that I am handcoding a lot of the mod, I have to remake the security to also use the new audio systems, balance them, and remake the entire way that they fire at enemies because of the new way firing is handled (in bursts now). They are also generally not entirely fit in the mod right now due to there just not being enough in the mod for them to fill a role beyond shooting at the AI which the player already does. If I manage to get more people to work with so it's not a solo project, I will absolutely at these things back and even improve systems more! Thank you for sticking around all this time and playing my mod. It was intended for myself and I decided to share it out, and it gained more attraction than I thought!
