Release 1.12.2-1.0.3 Beta 1
A lot has been added since release 1.0.2! This is really the 6th beta for 1.0.3, however I have been testing this mod in my own worlds, adding more features along the way.
New Blocks Since 1.0.2:
- VCR
- DVD Player
- Bookshelf Speaker
- Wall-Mount Speaker
- CD Changer
- CD Changer (with discs)
- Keycard Reader
- Breaker Panel
- Breaker Panel (opened)
- 7 Types of Sector Antenna
- Yagi Antenna
- Log Periodic Antenna
- Small CRT TV
Changed Blocks:
- Desktop Computer model has been updated
- Computer Setup model has been updated
- Monitor model has been updated
Misc Changes:
- New Creative Tab: ItemOverflow RF; contains antennas and radio equipment.
ItemOverflow RF:
As part of 1.0.3, I have chosen to combine ItemOverflow with one of my smaller hobby projects, MCCellular, to create ItemOverflow RF. This project primarily adds antennas and radio equipment, including sector antennas used for cell towers.
Since this is a niche interest of mine, I opted to place these additions under a different creative tab due to the many variations of similar looking blocks that may eventually clutter the existing tab.

What about 1.16.5?
1.0.3b1 will not be released on 1.16.5, but rest assured, the 1.16.5 project is up to date with all 1.0.3b1 additions. Building the 1.16.5 project as a Jar file temporarily disrupts my 1.12.2 project due to shared Gradle configurations, so I am choosing to hold 1.16.5 betas for the time being.
Future betas will be released on 1.16.5, however they will be less frequent than 1.12.2 betas due to the disruption they cause to my other projects. Both full releases will happen at the same time!
Release 1.12.2-1.0.2
After several months of anticipation, Release 1.0.2 is finally here! There are several new blocks, as well as many improvements to existing blocks including new models and textures. Support for 1.12.2 has been added with this release as well, making ItemOverflow accessible to legacy players and older worlds!
New Blocks Since 1.16.5-1.0.1:
- Large Fluorescent Lamp (centered, 2 blocks wide, for odd ceilings)
- 2-Block Large Fluorescent Lamp (Half Block, for even ceilings)
- Low-Profile Light Fixture
- Surface-Mount Light Fixture
- Troffer Lights (single and double)
- Smoke Alarm
- Thermostat
- Retro Computer
- Large TV
- Microwave Oven
- Industrial Lantern
- High Pressure Sodium Light Fixture
- Laptop
- CRT TV
- Display Phone
- Combined Modem/Router
- Macintosh Classic
- Retro Dial-Up Modem
- Xbox One S
- Small Cell Antenna
Changed Blocks:
- Updated modem and router textures
- Pull Station can now be pulled
- Fire Alarm can now sound when powered
- Air Conditioner makes a sound when right clicked
- Fire Alarm model is now larger
- Updated texture for AV receiver
- Updated texture for Steel Pole
- Stove now has legs to increase the height
- Fire Alarm now has a glass strobe texture (helps avoid texture bugs with translucent objects)
- Updated keyboard model for Computer Setup
- Outdoor Outlet model updated
- Outlet model/texture improvement
Misc Changes:
- mmWave antenna removed
- Keyboard removed - now part of combined model
- Mouse removed - now part of combined model
- New logo file
- Simplified bouncing boxes (block hitboxes) to help with mod performance. 1.12.2 also does not support traditional VoxelShapes.
Changes to come: ItemOverflow will eventually be released for Forge 1.20.1, alongside the existing 1.12.2 and 1.16.5 versions. This will hopefully allow more people to enjoy this mod with their existing worlds.
I plan on adding much more AV equipment in the next release, so keep an eye out for beta releases if you enjoy technology props! 1.0.3 may take a long time to release since I work on this project on a "when i feel like it" basis. Beta versions will release more frequently. All beta releases are stable, so feel free to check out new additions prior to the full release!

Release 1.0.2 Beta 2 (1.12.2)
ItemOverflow has been officially ported to 1.12.2! This release is stable, however, some blocks from the 1.16.5 version have not been ported to the 1.12.2 version just yet. With this port comes some improvements to models and textures that will be added to the 1.16.5 version upon the next release.
Changes from 1.16.5-1.0.2b2:
- mmWave antenna removed [will change in 1.16.5 as well]
- Added Block: Large Fluorescent Lamp added (Similar to Half Fluorescent Lamp, but can be centered in an odd number of blocks) [will add to 1.16.5]
- Smartphone texture and model update [will add to 1.16.5]
- New low-profile light model/texture [will add to 1.16.5]
- New surface-mount light model/texture [will add to 1.16.5]
- Troffer light no longer has transparency (adjustment for 1.12's rendering methods)
- Fire Alarm strobe now has glass texture instead of transparency (for 1.12 rendering) [will add to 1.16.5; fixes rendering issues]
- Electric Meter now has glass texture instead of transparency (for 1.12.2 rendering)
- Stove front transparency removed (for 1.12.2 rendering)
- Industrial Lantern texture adjustment [will add to 1.16.5]
- Sodium Lamp texture adjustment [will add to 1.16.5]
- Combined Modem and Router block [will add to 1.16.5]
- Updated modem and router textures [will add to 1.16.5]
- Pull Station can now be pulled [will add to 1.16.5]
- Fire Alarm model is now larger [will add to 1.16.5]
- Smoke Alarm can now be placed on walls [will add to 1.16.5]
- Updated texture for AV receiver [will add to 1.16.5]
- Added block: Small Cell Antenna [will add to 1.16.5]
- Added block: 1200 Baud Modem (retro dial-up modem) [will add to 1.16.5]
- Updated texture for Steel Pole [will add to 1.16.5]
- Bounding boxes (block hitboxes) are simplified to a single rectangle due to 1.12.2's lack of VoxelShapes implementation. 1.16.5 version may be updated to follow this change for performance reasons. Complex shapes may cause lag.
Blocks that have Not Yet Been Ported:
- Outdoor Outlets (subject to redesign)
- Large TV
- mmWave antenna (removed permanently)
- Microwave
- Laptop
- CRT TV
Note: Blocks that have not been ported, unless otherwise mentioned, will not be excluded from this version. 1.12.2 requires a full rewrite of the mod's code, and each element must be added separately using new methods. My goal is to make this version almost identical to the 1.16.5 version with the exception of certain details that cannot be implemented easily in 1.12.2.
Also note: Any improvements during the port to 1.12.2 will eventually be released to the 1.16.5 version. These versions are coded separately, so not everything will be identical (ex. 1.12.2 cannot handle transparency in custom models).
Releases 1.16.5-1.0.2 and 1.12.2-1.0.2 will be released soon.
The full release is almost ready! I am just adding some minor details and making sure both versions are similar prior to release.
Release 1.0.2 Beta 2
This release is stable, however, some newly added items are subject to change. Some textures are not final, and may be changed with the next beta (or prior to the full 1.0.2 release).

-- Industrial Lantern (texture is in progress)
-- High Pressure Sodium Fixture

Miscellaneous changes:
-- Added legs to the Stove to allow it to sit flush with surrounding blocks
Upcoming in beta 3:
-- Retexture of US style outlets
-- Updated texture for newly added Industrial Lantern
-- Fire Alarm: Fix for improper rendering + model scale adjustment
Release 1.0.2 Beta 1
