Commands

Simple Alert

/alert <target> simple <message>

Quick warning box alert. Example: /alert @a simple "Server restart in 5 minutes!"

Advanced Alert (Messagebox)

/alert <target> advanced messagebox <info|warning|error|question> <title> <message>

Native OS dialog box with custom icon. Example: /alert @a advanced messagebox warning "Warning!" "You are in a restricted area!"

Advanced Alert (Notification)

/alert <target> advanced notification <info|warning|error|question> <title> <message>

Native OS notification. Example: /alert @a advanced notification info "Quest Complete!" "You finished the tutorial!"

Notification (Quick)

/alert <target> notification <message>

Quick native notification. Example: /alert @p notification "Welcome to the server!"

Custom Screen

/alert <target> customscreen <title> <primaryButton> [secondaryButton] <message>

Custom in-game alert screen with buttons. Example: `/alert @a customscreen "Tutorial" "Continue" "Skip" "Welcome! Click Continue to start the tutorial."

Target Examples:

• @a - All players
• @p - Nearest player
• PlayerName - Specific player
• @r - Random player

Alert Beacon (⚠️ VERY EARLY ALPHA - MANY BUGS! ⚠️)

The Alert Beacon is an advanced block that automatically triggers alerts when players enter a detection radius.

Features:

• Configurable Detection Radius (1-100 blocks)
• Multiple Display Types - Notification, Messagebox, or Custom Screen
• Custom Sounds - Play any Minecraft sound effect
• Icon Styles - Info, Warning, Error, Success, Question
• Button Actions - Custom primary and secondary buttons
• Cooldown System - Prevent spam with configurable cooldowns
• One-Time Triggers - Trigger only once per player
• Permission-Based - Require specific permissions to trigger
• Redstone Support - Enable/disable with redstone signals
• Visual Radius Preview - See the detection area while configuring

How to Use:

1. Enable in Config: Open Minecraft main menu → Click "JavAlert Config" → Enable "ALPHA Features" → Enable "Alert Beacon"
2. Place the Block: Find "Alert Beacon" in Creative menu (Functional Blocks tab)
3. Configure: Right-click the block to open the configuration screen
4. Set Your Options: Configure radius, message, display type, sounds, and more
5. Save: Click "Save" to apply your settings

⚠️ Remember: This is VERY EARLY ALPHA with MANY BUGS! Report any issues you find.

Configuration

Access the configuration screen from the main menu by clicking the "JavAlert Config" button (To the left of Singleplayer button).

Options:

• Experimental Features - Enable unstable experimental features
• ALPHA Features - Enable highly experimental ALPHA features (required for Alert Beacon)
• Alert Beacon - Enable/disable Alert Beacon block (requires ALPHA features enabled)

Safety

• No Harmful Actions - The mod only displays alerts and notifications
• No System Changes - Does not modify system files or settings
• Sandboxed - All operations are safe and contained
• Cross-Platform - Works on Windows, macOS, and Linux
• Headless Support - Works on servers without GUI (falls back to command-line tools)

Requirements

• Minecraft: 1.20.1
• Forge: 47.4.13 or compatible
• Java: 17+

Known Issues

• Alert Beacon is in VERY EARLY ALPHA with many bugs - use at your own risk
• Some native dialogs may have slight latency on some systems
• Alert Beacon texture may appear glitchy (will be fixed in future update)
