Record of a Minecrafter's Journey to Immortality
A xianxia (cultivation) mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 (Fabric). Walk the path from Mortal to Dao Ancestor — gather qi, awaken your spiritual roots, refine pills, learn techniques, comprehend the Dao, found a sect, command a flying sword, and survive Heavenly Tribulation. Works in singleplayer and multiplayer.
On first join you receive a Guide to the Dao and a Cultivation Journal that tracks your next milestones. Press G to open the cultivation hub.
⚡ Features
Cultivation & Progression
- 26 realms across 14 major tiers, Mortal → Dao Ancestor — each raising HP, qi pool, regen, spiritual sense, and combat power, and unlocking abilities like flight and teleportation.
- Five-element spiritual roots (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth) with wuxing synergy & conflict, five constitutions, and per-element passives. Revealed by a Spirit Reveal Stone with 3 free re-rolls.
- Mortality clock (寿元): every realm grants finite years — break through or wither and die. Longevity Pills buy time; True Immortals are unbound.
- Closed-door seclusion (闭关): trade lifespan and spirit stones for a burst of cultivation.
- Karma (气运): good deeds invite fortuitous opportunities; sin draws calamity. Watch for pill toxicity (丹毒) and qi deviation (走火入魔).
Combat & Abilities
- Heavenly Tribulation: realm-scaled, multi-phase lightning trials with signature colours, heart-demon illusions, and a server-wide spectacle. Survive or lose the breakthrough.
- Sword arts: a flying-sword array, sword flight, parries, charged heavy attacks, the Sword Domain, and a dedicated Sword Qi (剑气) resource.
- Qi Pressure (威压), Void Traversal blink-chains, and Nascent Soul projection with a second life.
Knowledge Systems
- Techniques: realm- and root-gated arts with 9 mastery layers and active skills bound to a radial wheel.
- Dao Comprehension: earn permanent passives by cultivating in different environments.
- Grand Laws (法则): eight laws comprehended through five depths, with a declared Primary Dao and projectable Law Domains.
World & Society
- Alchemy: the Spirit Furnace, a discovery-gated recipe guide, quality rolls, and biome-grown, replantable spirit herbs.
- Formations & barriers: realm-scaled qi-gathering and warding domes plus personal barriers.
- Sects: found or join one, claim territory with dynamic borders, raise elemental peak halls, run a shop and library, and wage sect wars with treasury plunder, drained veins, and vassalage.
- Ascension dimensions: the Spirit World (灵界) and Heavenly Realm (仙界), unlocked by surviving the right tribulations.
- Mob realm-scaling with monster-core drops and rogue cultivator factions.
🔧 Configuration
A config/journey-to-immortality.json is created on first launch — tune
cultivation speed, mob scaling, the lifespan clock, death XP penalty, sect wars,
and tribulation damage.
🧩 Optional
Terrain Diffusion is suggested, not required — when present it generates the ascension dimensions' terrain with a diffusion model. Without it, the dimensions still load with built-in generation. The mod runs fine on Fabric API alone.
