About

Just Zoom is a client-side mod that allows you to zoom in by pressing a hotkey (Z by default, can be changed in the controls settings).
While zoomed in, you can scroll with your mouse wheel to zoom in and out further!

How To Use The Mod

Just press the zoom hotkey (Z by default) to zoom in, then use your mouse wheel to adjust the zoom factor.

Configuring The Mod

Just Zoom has a config file that allows you to tweak a bunch of settings to make your zoom experience complete!

The config is located at .minecraft/config/justzoom/config.txt!

Base Zoom Factor

The base zoom factor is the zoom level you see when zooming in using the hotkey, without using the mouse wheel to adjust it.
To change the base zoom factor, just set base_zoom_factor to the value you want.

Zoom Per Scroll

To adjust how much the mod should zoom in and out when you scroll, just set zoom_in_per_scroll and zoom_out_per_scroll to the values you want.

Reset Zoom Factor

By default, the mod will not reset the zoom factor to the base zoom factor when you stop zooming (when you stop pressing the zoom hotkey).
This behaviour can be changed by setting reset_zoom_factor to true.

Zoom Out Cap

The default behaviour of the mod is to cap the maximum zoom out factor at your normal FOV, so it's not possible to zoom out further than your normal FOV.
To change this, just set zoom_out_cap to false.

Smooth Zoom

Zooming is smooth by default. To edit/disable smooth zooming, edit the lerp_amount config option. To disable smooth zooming, set its value to 0.

Smooth Camera on Zoom

The smooth/cinematic camera is enabled by default when zooming. To disable this, set smooth_camera_on_zoom to false.

You can use Just Zoom in modpacks.
