Kabus: Psychological Horror
Kabus is a terrifying psychological horror mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge) that turns your world into a living, breathing nightmare. It doesn't just rely on cheap jumpscares—it systematically breaks your sanity, stalks your movements, and forces you into deadly encounters.
🛠️ Key Features
- The Entity (Kabus): A sinsi and intelligent stalker that watches you from the shadows. Beware: this creature possesses armor-piercing magic damage, making your high-tier gear useless if it catches you off-guard.
- Dynamic Sanity & Hallucinations: Your mental state matters. As your sanity drops, the world around you distorts, and the hallucinations become real threats.
- 3-Stage Nightmare Dungeons: A brutal progression system. Surviving the nightmare requires you to traverse through 3 distinct, escalating stages of pure terror.
- DFS-Generated Labyrinths: Explore a massive, procedurally generated maze built using a custom Depth-First Search (DFS) algorithm. The structure is split dynamically into left and right zones to bypass vanilla structure limits, offering a seamless and confusing layout.
- The Ritual Mechanic: A newly introduced, deeply occult progression system. To advance or survive, you must gather specific materials and perform dark rituals under the right conditions.
- Survival & Balance: To keep the horror intense, survival mechanics have been strictly balanced (including a strategic nerf to the calming syrup). You must think twice before venturing out into the dark.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
