KantoItems
KantoItems can be useful for map makers and server owners who want key items, valuables, Repels, Running Shoes, drinks, gifts, and progression objects without needing to build every item system from scratch.
This mod was originally created for the CobbleKanto project, but it can also be used by other creators who want more decorative blocks for their own Minecraft worlds. Please, go check our main project and hop on in this adventure with us!

Features
- Kanto inspired key items for adventure maps and progression systems.
- Classic valuables such as Nuggets, Pearls, Stardust, Star Pieces, and Mushrooms.
- Repel, Super Repel, and Max Repel with an actual Repel status effect.
- Running Shoes that can be equipped in the boots slot and increase movement speed.
- Drinks and gift-style items such as Fresh Water, Soda Pop, Lemonade, Tea, and more.
- Useful for servers, NPC rewards, loot systems, custom quests, command blocks, and map events.
Repels
Repel, Super Repel, and Max Repel are not just decorative items.
When used, they apply the Repel status effect for different durations:
| Item | Duration |
|---|---|
| Repel | 120 seconds |
| Super Repel | 240 seconds |
| Max Repel | 360 seconds |
The item will not be consumed again if the Repel effect is already active. This helps avoid wasting Repels by accident.
In maps that have "Aggressive Cobblemon Battle Trigger" setups, this Repel effect is meant to be read by compatible external battle systems so they can avoid starting wild battle triggers while the effect is active.
Running Shoes
Running Shoes can be equipped in the boots slot.
They give the player a movement speed bonus and are meant to bring that familiar early adventure upgrade feeling into Minecraft. The mod also includes a small client-side FOV adjustment so the speed boost feels smoother while playing.
Map Use
KantoItems was built with custom maps in mind.
Most of the items are intentionally simple because they are meant to be connected to your own systems. You can use them as rewards, quest objects, gate keys, NPC requirements, shop items, collectible valuables, or story progression items.
For example, a map or server can use:
card_keyto unlock a restricted area.ss_ticketas a travel requirement.silph_scopeas a story progression item.bike_voucheras a reward before giving access to a bike system.anomaly_fragmentorconvergence_keyfor CobbleKanto-style lore progression.
KantoItems does not try to force one specific gameplay structure. It gives you the items, and your map or server decides how they are used.

Compatibility
KantoItems is made for Minecraft 1.21.1 using Fabric.
Required:
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- Fabric Loader
- Fabric API
- Java 21
Cobblemon is not listed as a hard dependency in the current build, but the mod works naturally alongside Cobblemon based servers and modpacks.
Notes
KantoItems does not add world generation, new blocks, or a full quest system by itself.
Deeper progression logic is meant to come from your map, server, datapack, NPC mod, command setup, or other CobbleKanto systems.
FAQ
Do Repels stop wild battles?
The Repel items apply a real Repel status effect.
In compatible Battle/Cobblemon setups, external battle systems can check this effect and avoid triggering wild battles while it is active.
Can I use this in my own map, server or content?
Yes! You are free to use KantoItems in your own maps, servers, modpacks, videos, showcases, livestreams and other content. Credit is appreciated, but you do not need special permission to create content with the mod.
Does it add recipes?
No. These items are mainly meant to be distributed by maps, servers, commands, loot systems, or other progression tools.
Are the Running Shoes armor?
They are equipped in the boots slot, but they are meant as a utility item rather than combat armor.
