This is my first mod, which has a simple function - To kick the player from server on death and "ban" from re-entering for a set amount of time (by default 24 hours). The goal of this mod is to add a "penalty" for being careless.
The mod was tested and works very well with Hardcore Revival and You're in Grave Danger mods. So if a player dies (in a non-hardcore server), there will be 2 minutes for other players to try saving him. If time runs out, player will be disconnected and unable to come back until "ban's" time expires. But no worries, because his items would be stored inside his grave.
Features:
- Kicked player can see the time remaining before being able to re-join the server.
- Timer works even if server goes offline, as it takes real time into account instead of server's uptime.
- Mod is completely server-side, so client doesn't need to install it.
- Timer's duration is customizable
A file named "kicktimer.properties" can be found in config after first start. There you can set the ban duration in hours and minutes (they will be added up) and exclude server operator from being affected by this mod. Configuration is possible only by manually editing the file.
All active bans can be reset by deleting the "bans" folder (or just the file "kicktimer_bans.dat" inside it) in server directory.
Disclaimer:
I'm not planning to maintain or port this mod, I just made it for my private server and thought that I may as well share it. I won't do any compatibility testing or fixing. Also I didn't test the timer's duration beyond 24 hours, so be warned that longer times might not work.
