Leashable Collars Unofficial Port for Minecraft 26.1.2
This is an unofficial Fabric 26.1.2 port of Leashable Collars by jlortiz0, based on ElsaCounteragent’s Fabric port/fork. To run this mod in your game, please install Trinkets Updated.
The goal of this port is to keep the original collar, owner, clicker, leashing, paws, Human-Sized Dog Bed, Dog Bowl, and invisible fence gameplay working on Minecraft 26.1.2, while preserving as much of Elsa’s added gameplay as possible.
Because this version required dependency and Minecraft API updates, it may not be a perfect 1:1 reproduction of Elsa’s port.

- Owners holding a Laser Pointer can force their owned player to look toward a target point.
- Includes the Laser Reach enchantment for Laser Pointers.
-
Hand feeding
- Owners can feed their owned player directly by hand.
-
Other additional items from Elsa’s port are included, but are not documented in detail here.
Changes in this 26.1.2 port
Paws are intentionally much stricter in this port.
When any player wears paws:
-
Breaking most blocks becomes much slower.
-
Interacting with most blocks is disabled.
-
The following block interactions are still allowed:
- Buttons
- Levers
- Doors
- Trapdoors
- Human-Sized Dog Beds
- Dog Bowls
Paws also prevent the player from holding items.
When a player wearing paws tries to hold an item, the item will be moved to another non-selected hotbar slot or into the inventory. If there is no available space, the item will be dropped.
Owner control panel
Version 1.6.1 replaces the old Paw item and block configuration interface with a new owner control panel.
Owners can stand and right-click an owned, collared player with the Pet Patroller to configure the following restrictions:
-
Speech
- Allowed: Chat works normally.
- Muffled: The pet’s messages are blocked, but the owner is notified that the pet is trying to communicate.
- Silenced: The pet’s messages are blocked without notifying the owner.
-
Commands
- Prevents the pet from executing player-issued commands.
- This restriction is enforced by the server and also applies to commands sent through client-side mods.
-
Vision
- Obscures the pet’s vision using a continuously refreshed Blindness effect.
-
Movement
- Prevents voluntary movement such as walking, sprinting and jumping.
- Gravity, knockback, teleportation, water movement and leash pulling are still allowed.
These settings are stored on the pet’s collar. Removing the collar immediately disables the restrictions.
The old configurable Paw item and block interaction menus have been removed. Paws continue to use the fixed restrictions documented above.
The previous explicit diet-control system has also been removed, as players wearing Paws are already unable to hold and use food normally. Owner hand-feeding, Dog Bowls and other feeding mechanics remain available.
Visual representation of restrictions
The new speech and vision restrictions currently affect gameplay only. They do not yet render a mask, blindfold or other visible accessory on the affected player model.
I originally intended to add visible models for these states, but player-model accessory rendering is currently outside what I can reliably implement and maintain. The completed gameplay systems are therefore being released without visual accessories rather than delaying the update.
Contributions are welcome from anyone interested in implementing compatible visual rendering, either directly in this project or through a separate companion mod.
Special Thanks
Thanks to jlortiz0 for creating the original Leashable Collars mod.
Thanks to ElsaCounteragent for the Fabric port/fork that this project is based on.
For those interested in the project's history, the original mod and Elsa's fork can be found on GitHub.
Maintenance status
This is a personal, unofficial port shared for people who want to use Leashable Collars on Minecraft 26.1.2 Fabric.
It is provided as-is. I may update it if I personally need to, but this project is not intended to be a fully maintained long-term fork. Issues, feature requests, or compatibility requests may not be handled.
Please do not report issues from this port to the original Leashable Collars project or ElsaCounteragent’s fork.
