What is it?
Soulspawn is a Minecraft server-side mod that overhauls how respawning works in hardcore Minecraft.
What does it address?
Have you ever been playing a hardcore Minecraft world with your friends, and someone dies? But instead of the world ending and deleting itself, you are left alone, and your friend is left unable to play. Soulspawn addresses this issue by giving each player a random range of lives. Of course, to maintain the stressful element of only having one life that the original hardcore experience has, SoulSpawn gives you a random number of lives. An amount that you will never know.
Running the mod
SoulSpawn is a server-side Fabric mod. Simply drag the mod into your Fabric mod folder.
SoulSpawn has minimal mixins, so you shouldn't have too many mod collisions. However, SoulSpawn does completely rework the vanilla spawning, so you may have issues with other mods that also modify how player spawning works.
Configuring
Currently, configuration methods such as commands and GUI are being worked on... However, you can modify the save-data files in world/data/soulspawn if you wish to configure it. Although I think that the defaults are alright.
