How to Enable Lifeless World
To activate Lifeless World, you have two options:
- World Creation: Enable the gamerule in the world creation screen. Look for the option labeled "Should entity spawn" and set it to false.
- Existing World: Use the command
/gamerule shouldEntitySpawn false
in an already created world to toggle the gamerule. Please note that toggling this gamerule will not remove existing entities.
By default, the gamerule is set to true, meaning your game remains unchanged from the vanilla experience.
What Entities Remain?
In Lifeless World, all entities will be removed except for the following essentials:
- The Player
- Blazes: The only way to get blaze rods.
- Blaze Rods: Essential for crafting eyes of ender.
- Ender Dragon
Can You Beat the Game Without Entities?
Imagine a world where mobs no longer pose a threat, but resources are scarce, and survival depends on your wit and strategy. Lifeless World challenges you to explore new ways of playing Minecraft.
Tips on How to Beat the Game
How to get wood?
Since items are entities, you won't be able to punch a tree to get logs.
Spruce logs can be found in chests in taiga villages and dark oak logs can be found in pillager outposts.
However, wood may not be required to beat the game!
How to get food?
Food can be found in a lot of places, from villages' chests, ruined portals, shipwrecks and any other chests really.
How to get obsidian?
Obisidian can be found in chests in villages and ruined portals.
However obsidian may not be required to beat the game! You can find iron ingots and use a bucket to build a portal.
How to get blaze rods?
Blazes still spawns in the nether since it is the only way to get blaze rods. Also, blaze rods are the only items allowed to be dropped by any entities.
How to get enderpearls?
Enderpearls can be found in chests in strongholds and trial chambers.
