Details
Kill players to steal their hearts, if you die period, you lose a Heart. Run out of hearts and you're eliminated, banned, or sent to spectator depending on server configuration. Revive players by crafting a Beacon of Life to respawn with three hearts.
Items
- Heart Fragment — crafting ingredient for a Heart or Crafted Heart.
- Heart — right-click to gain a Heart, raising your max health.
- Crafted Heart — same as a Heart, but capped at a configurable limit.
- Beacon of Life — right-click to open the revival menu, listing every eliminated player, then select a player to be revived.
Commands
/withdraw <amount>— converts hearts back into Heart or Crafted Heart items./revive— opens the revival menu for admins./deathban <name|uuid>— eliminates a player by name or UUID.
Unique Items
The Mace, Netherite Chestplate, and Dragon Egg are limited to one copy per server. While one exists, crafting or smithing another is blocked; destroying it reopens the recipe. The Dragon Egg is earned by defeating the Ender Dragon and will respawn at 0,0 in The Overworld upon defeating the Dragon once again. None of these items, along with Heart items and the Beacon of Life, can be stored in containers — they only ever exist on players or the ground.
Configuration
Hearts, death handling, combat toggles, enchantment limits, item bans, and recipes are all adjustable through config files generated on first launch:
config/lifesteal.json— core settingsconfig/lifesteal-enchantments.json— per-enchantment level caps and bansconfig/lifesteal-recipes/— fully editable crafting recipes, supporting modded items
