Ever opened your inventory, moved your mouse a little too far, and clicked something on your second monitor?
LockScreen keeps your cursor inside the Minecraft window while you’re using your inventory. Your mouse still moves normally between slots, but stays within the window’s edges.
Made for anyone who plays with multiple monitors and gets tired of accidentally clicking out of the game.
What it does
- Keeps your cursor inside Minecraft while your inventory is open.
- Covers the creative inventory and containers such as chests, furnaces, and crafting tables.
- Activates automatically, with no commands or configuration needed.
- Releases its inventory lock when you close the screen or switch away from Minecraft.
You can still use Alt+Tab to switch apps. The title screen, pause menu, and chat don’t activate the lock.
Requirements
- Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.11
- Fabric Loader 0.18.4 or newer
- Windows
Fabric API isn’t required. Install LockScreen on your own client; servers don’t need it.
Installation
Drop the LockScreen .jar into your Minecraft instance’s mods folder, then launch the game with Fabric.
A few quick answers
Does it work on macOS or Linux?
This version only supports cursor confinement on Windows.
Can I use it in multiplayer?
It works on your client without a server installation. It only handles cursor confinement; it doesn’t automate inventory actions.
Is there a toggle or settings menu?
Not in this version. It activates automatically when an inventory or container is open.
Does it support other Minecraft versions or loaders?
This build targets Fabric 1.21.11 only.
Early build
LockScreen has compiled and loaded successfully in Minecraft. Inventory confinement, resizing, and Alt+Tab still need hands-on verification across different monitor setups.
