LootPregenerator Information

This is a simple, server-sided mod, that generates loot from loot-containers asynchronously and only applies the changes on the main server thread, meaning it has only a very small impact on gameplay (except when tweaking the config, I'll get to that later)

The core reason of this mod is to remove or reduce the waiting time of loot generation in chests. As some chests contain maps to structures far away, attempting to open it while generating makes you wait, not anymore!

Short Overview

• Server sided Mod (for 1.21.1, Fabric; can also be used on client for singleplayer)
• Calculates loot for loot-containers only in new generated chunks asynchronously
• Includes an optional dashboard for metrics and mod controls (depending on configuration)
• Is compatible with mods that use vanilla loottable generation (Such as Deeper and Darker)
• Mirrors Minecraft loot generation system by taking the following variables into account:
• • World seed
• • Loot-table key
• • loot-table seed
• • Datapacks
• • and a few other things aswell
• Automatically throttles loot calculation and commiting if high server load detected (triggered by set value in config.json under performance.pause-above-average-tick-ms, default is 35ms)
• Commands to start/stop the mod in-game, OP-only (/lootpregen <args>)
• Many config options to customize the mod to your likings!

Commands:

To see what the mod is up to, to control it, or to even apply changes, use these commands below. Only OPs can use these commands though!

• Use /lootpregen status to get a raw dump of the current status of the mod
• Use /lootpregen metrics to get a raw dump of the mods' current data and metrics
• Use /lootpregen queue to view the current queue of the chunks to pregenerate
• Use /lootpregen pause to pause the mod and its pregeneration systems
• Use /lootpregen resume to resume the mod and its pregeneration systems that were previously paused
• Use /lootpregen reload to reload the mod and apply the new settings from the config.json

Config

Access the config in the server/client directory under config\lootpregenerator.json

The config features many options to tweak the mod to your liking! Be aware that some can lead to higher server load, so careful when playing around in the performance section!

To revert to default settings, delete the config file and restart the server or your client!

Version Info

This mod has been tested by me on 1.21.1 Fabric, meaning is may be compatible with 1.21.x I recommend trying it out yourself!

Miscellaneous

Keep in mind that nothing is final! There can always be new additions!

I will keep mainting this mod as long as I can, and I will probably make a version for 26.1 Fabric. Forge is unknown at this time.
