Example (vanilla behaviour)
This is a showcase in vanilla with a minemen duel. I kind of see the opponent's health a little, but it's difficult to read with the fire in the way.

Fire block example (vanilla behaviour)
a side by side with myself on fire and a fire block next to me. in vanilla, The fire on my player is tall enough to cover the middle of my nametag (using Retextured Fire by Miwo4ka in this image)
Fire Block example (w/ resource pack)
Using a low fire resource pack does fix the problem. unfortunately the fire block has shrunk in height too, which I personally don't prefer. (using Retextured Fire by Miwo4ka as an example)

now I have the best of both worlds! the fire block hasn't been altered when I change the height of the entity fire effect, and I can read the nametag clearly (using Retextured Fire by Miwo4ka in this image)
Config screen (1.0)
simple config GUI to adjust any axis of the fire effect. including turning the mod off (the gui requires Cloth Config to use, but the config file is always editable)
