You can dupe the Magnetite Shards using 1 shard and 4 iron

How Magnets work
The Blue Magnets (-) push entities, and the Red Magnets (+) pull entities

Each of the Magnets has a range of 10 blocks. If anything is in the way of the magnet, it won't go further
Crafting the Handheld Magnet
The Handheld Magnet, is able to change the way Magnets interact with the entity that is holding it. By right clicking you can change the polarization of the Handheld Magnet allowing for the Normal Magnets to change from push to pull
The Magnetite Armor
If you wear a full suit of Magnetite Armor you are immune to all magnets (with the only exception being when you are holding a Handheld Magnet) and get a speed boost when hit (made with Magnetite Bars)
