Ancient warriors do not rest easily. Deep beneath frozen mountains and crumbling ruins, the Draugr stir, and they remember how to fight.
Draugr Invasion brings a complete Nordic undead faction to Minecraft, heavily inspired by Skyrim but rebuilt to feel at home in Minecraft. Explore dangerous structures, fight enemies with advanced combat AI, recover the Golden Claw, awaken the Draugr Overlord, and eventually unleash a repeatable invasion directly upon yourself.

Why Play Draugr Invasion?
- Enemies that actually fight back: Draugr can block, heal, dodge, use magic, and adapt their behavior to the situation.
- Large Nordic dungeons: Explore crypts, bastions, forts, and towers filled with hostile creatures, secrets, traps, and valuable loot.
- A real boss encounter: The Draugr Overlord uses animated rush attacks, multi-hit combos, special abilities, and changing combat patterns.
- A complete progression loop: Recover Golden Claw Fragments, activate ancient altars, defeat the Overlord, charge an Awakening Soul Gem, and trigger a Draugr Raid.
- A raid focused on the player: The Draugr are not attacking a village. They are coming for you.
- Built for multiplayer and modpacks: Every player can receive personal chest loot, while extensive configuration options let pack creators rebalance the entire experience.

Your Journey Through the Mod
- Discover a Draugr structure and survive its guardians.
- Search for Golden Claw Fragments hidden throughout Crypts and Bastions.
- Reassemble the Golden Claw and use it on a Draugr Altar.
- Defeat the Draugr Overlord to claim high-tier rewards.
- Charge an Awakening Soul Gem by defeating Draugr.
- Trigger a Draugr Raid and face increasingly dangerous waves on your own terms.
This progression is designed to turn the mod into a full adventure rather than a collection of unrelated mobs.
Explore Forgotten Nordic Ruins
Four structures generate naturally, each offering a different scale, purpose, and level of danger.
Draugr Bastion
A massive fortification hidden among cold mountains. Its ruined halls contain treasure, secret passages, Golden Claw Fragments, and a grand chamber built around a Draugr Altar. Reassemble the claw, awaken the Overlord, and defeat it to raise a reward chest from the ground.

Draugr Crypt
The mod's largest and rarest dungeon. Crypts feature sprawling underground layouts, interconnected rooms, puzzles, hidden chambers, traps, and treasure halls. Find every fragment, forge the Golden Claw, and descend into the central arena for an endgame confrontation with the Draugr Overlord.

Draugr Fort
An abandoned Overworld fort overrun by Infernal Draugr. Smaller than a Bastion or Crypt, but still heavily defended and worth exploring for the treasures left behind.

Draugr Tower
A compact surface structure built in a Nordic medieval style. Each tower offers thematic loot and a hostile garrison that can be cleared and claimed.

Face a Complete Enemy Faction
Every creature fills a distinct combat role, allowing encounters to become more dangerous as different enemies begin working together.
| Creature | Combat role |
|---|---|
| Draugr | Frontline melee fighter and the backbone of most encounters. |
| Draugr Archer | Ranged support that maintains pressure from a distance. |
| Draugr Wight | Hybrid fighter that switches between melee attacks and frost projectiles. |
| Draugr Scourge | Dedicated spellcaster that is dangerous at range but vulnerable up close. |
| Infernal Draugr | Agile elite enemy with powerful attacks and evasive dodges. |
| Skeleton Warrior | Durable heavy fighter that hits hard and can absorb punishment. |
| Skeleton Warrior Head | A severed skull that flees and can regenerate into a complete Skeleton Warrior if ignored. |
| Flame Atronach | A summonable fire elemental that provides ranged magical support. |
| Draugr Overlord | Boss-tier enemy with rush attacks, multi-hit combos, and special abilities. |
Combat and Advanced AI
These are not ordinary shambling undead. Draugr were warriors in life, and their behavior reflects it.
- Context-aware blocking: Draugr react to incoming attacks and raise their guard when appropriate.
- Potion usage: Wounded Draugr can heal when the situation gives them an opening.
- Threat assessment: Enemies consider health, distance, and danger before choosing their next action.
- Evasive behavior: Infernal Draugr can avoid attacks instead of simply absorbing every hit.
- Ranged magic: Wights, Scourges, and Atronachs pressure players with elemental projectiles.
- Boss combat: The Overlord uses fully animated rushes, combo sequences, special attacks, and combat windows that reward timing and positioning.
The result is a faction whose members feel different to fight and become significantly more dangerous in mixed groups.
Artifacts, Magic, and Progression
Draugr magic is ancient, cold, and dangerous. Its artifacts connect exploration, combat, and endgame encounters.
- Spell Staves: Channel destructive magic and can be discovered in structures or crafted.
- Golden Claw Fragments: Hidden throughout Draugr Crypts and Bastions. Collect them to craft a complete Golden Claw.
- Golden Claw: Activates a Draugr Altar and awakens the Draugr Overlord.
- Awakening Soul Gem: Absorbs the essence of defeated Draugr. Defeat 12 while carrying it to fill the gem.
- Filled Awakening Soul Gem: Use it at the surface to begin a Draugr Raid at your current position.
- Soul Gems: Power player-owned Spell Caster Traps.
Awakening Soul Gems can be found in vanilla chests and modded structures, or crafted directly.
The Draugr Raid
Forget village raids. This invasion comes for you.
After fully charging an Awakening Soul Gem, use it at the surface to call the Draugr to your location. Each wave introduces a more dangerous enemy composition:
- Early waves: Draugr and Skeleton Warriors establish the assault.
- Middle waves: Wights and Scourges add ranged pressure and magic.
- Final wave: A Draugr Overlord enters the battlefield.
Raids are challenging, repeatable endgame encounters that can be triggered when and where you choose. Their waves, enemy counts, post-Nether difficulty, and Overlord spawns can all be customized.
Ancient Traps and Player Defenses
Nordic ruins are protected by magical sentinels that automatically detect intruders and cast destructive spells.

- Frostbite Trap: Fires freezing magic that slows and damages its target.
- Frost Spike Trap: Launches fast, piercing spikes of ice.
- Firebolt Trap: Fires blazing projectiles for direct fire damage.
These traps are not limited to dungeons. Players can craft every variant with Ebony Ingots, place them around their own bases, and power them with Soul Gems. Dungeon traps never consume souls.
Multiplayer-Friendly Loot
Draugr structures use a personal loot system designed for shared worlds and servers.
- Every player receives an independent loot roll from the same chest.
- Opening a chest does not remove another player's rewards.
- The system supports both vanilla and modded loot tables.
- Custom chests feature immersive opening and spawn animations.
- Personal loot can be disabled in the configuration if a modpack needs traditional shared inventories.
Explore together without having to race your friends to every reward chest.
Optional Quest Expansion
Install Mebahel's RPG: Villager Quests and Companions alongside Draugr Invasion to connect these structures and enemies to story-driven adventures.
The integration adds three dedicated questlines and three rumors, giving villagers reasons to send you toward Draugr ruins and turning the faction into part of a broader RPG world. The quest mod is completely optional; Draugr Invasion works without it.
Extensive Configuration
The default settings are ready to play, but nearly every important balance value can be adjusted for solo worlds, servers, and modpacks. All settings can be edited directly in game through the Mebahel Mods menu, so manual JSON editing is optional.
