Steel Hearts Update
Complete remake of mod on a fresh workspace, consider this a different mod in terms of content since only some of it is returning, and its ONLY the tungsten tier.
Tungsten Tier: The new material, Tungsten, can be found at deepslate level under (hopefully) all forest biomes
- Tungsten tools (pickaxe, axe, shovel, and hoe)
- Tungsten weapons (sword, broadsword, revolver, rifle, wand, and staff)
- Tungsten ore
- Raw Tungsten
- Block of Raw Tungsten
- Tungsten Ingot
- Tungsten Rod
Core Fragments: Core fragments are found deep in the deepslate level, and are better than coal
- Core fragments
- Block of Core Fragments
- can be used to make 8 torches
Healing: Healing is changed, you can no longer passively regenerate health on any difficulty, and must now use the two new early game healing items to combat this change
- Salve (made using plant fiber, has a medium cooldown)
- Bandage (made using woven fabric and salve, faster cooldown than salve)
Hunger: Hunger is now a timed mechanic and cannot heal you unless you use a food that applies healing.
- Timed (takes about 20 minutes to start taking starve damage)
- Gamerule (turning on the casual hunger gamerule disables hunger entirely from the game)
New Crafting Items: New crafting items were added for recipes in the mod
- Terrene Alloy
- Terrene Plate
- Gun Parts
- Arcane Focus
- Copper Wire
- Silicon Board
- Battery
- Plant Fiber
- Living Root
- Tech Card
- Fletching
- Woven Fabric
Tech: Tech has been added, allowing the player to better navigate the world
- EPC (currently only the breathing EPC is implemented, wich allows the player to not lose oxygen)
- Augments (the first levels of Resistance, Regeneration, and Strength augments are available)
- Minimorph (shrink down to half size)
- Dash (dash in the direction you are looking)
- Extended Jump (gain jump boost)
Cave Vines: Cave vines are the main source of plant fiber, however plant fiber can also be obtained by smelting down organic material such as flowers, leaves, moss, and bushes
Energy: Energy is used by most of the new weapons and tech, it regenerates overtime and should be used wisely since using energy will cause it's regeneration to "lag", and can lead to the player running out if using it carelessly
Reworked Hud: The survival hud has been changed bars to better display the new hunger mechanic, display the player's energy level, and show the player what augment and EPC they have equipped. There is also a tech screen the player can check but cannot interract with that shows them what tech they have equipped. There is a custom hud texture for hardcore, and there are effects for when the player is freezing, has poison, has wither, and supports up to an extra 80 hp points via absorbtion
Tech Console Contains an identical tech screen to the one the player can open via keybind, but this one can be interracted with in order to equip and unequip techs, EPCs, and augments
Ender Cultists A new mob in two new varients can be found in Ender Labs located in all forest biomes, the melee and gunner cultists spawn in high numbers at the top of these small structures
Magic Iron and Tungsten wands fire projectiles that inflict the new shattered effect, which debufs enemies. However the tungsten staff projectile heals ANY player, even ones you might be fighting against
Vanilla Changes Some changes were made to vanilla gameplay for qol and mod reasons
- Bulk smelting/blasting (raw material blocks, aka iron, gold, copper, and tungsten, can be smelted into their metal block counterparts for faster resource collection)
- Unpacking (clay and melons can be unpacked into their items)
- Gravel and Flint (flint can be made into gravel, and gravel can be made into flint)
- Fletching item (a new item was added, made with paper and sticks to use in place of feathers when making arrows, it does not make more arrows, but it makes the need for slaying chickens less necessary)
- Diamonds (diamonds can no longer be mined with iron tools and now require tungstent tools to obtain)
- Sprinkler (the sprinkler block was added to help crops grow faster around it, as well as any other bonemealable block)
- Moved Shield and Crossbow (they now require tungsten materials to make)
there may be other features I forgot and they might be bugs, there is no discord at the moment to submit bugs to but patches will come out when possible. There is no estimated release on the next update, but it will be covering the titanium tier and might be smaller.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
