# MineGlot Client-side AI translator for **Minecraft 1.8.9 Forge** using **OpenAI** or **Claude**. Translate your own messages, selected player chat, private messages, and signs. ## Features - Translate messages before sending them with `/trs` or `/translate`. - Click visible chat lines and translate them with `/translation`. - Send translated private messages with `/trs `. - Auto-translate chat from selected players. - Translate signs in the world. - Cache repeated translations to reduce API calls. - Choose OpenAI or Claude from the in-game settings. ## Requirements - Minecraft Forge `1.8.9` - Java `8` - OpenAI or Claude API key - No server-side plugin required ## Quick Start 1. Install Minecraft Forge 1.8.9. 2. Put the MineGlot `.jar` in your Minecraft `mods` folder. 3. Launch Minecraft. 4. Open the MineGlot menu. 5. Add your OpenAI or Claude API key. 6. Choose your language, default language, provider, and model. Servers do not need to install anything.
