MineRec captures your Minecraft moments without external apps or complicated overlays.
How to use:
- Have FFmpeg installed and available on your PATH (or set it with -Dminerec.ffmpeg=path/to/ffmpeg).
- Join the game and press F8 to start recording.
- Press F8 again to stop.
Videos are saved as MP4 (H.264, 30 FPS) in the "minerec" folder inside your game directory, with date and time in the file name. If anything goes wrong, an .ffmpeg.log file is created next to the video with details.
Notes:
- Client-side only, no need to install it on the server.
- If you change the window resolution mid-recording, it is stopped to avoid corrupting the video — just press F8 to start a new one.
- Closing the game while recording automatically finalizes the video
