Mysterious Darkness infection

An infection players can obtain from walking on Darkened Blocks, which appear in random patches. Once the infection completes, players join one of nine known monster factions

Nine known monster factions

The player can be placed into one of nine known monster factions by the Mysterious Darkness infection, or can visit a Sorcerer village to buy a magical book that allows the player to choose. Each faction has its own abilities and progression system

The Hunter's Guild

Players can also join the Hunter's Guild and slay feral monsters while guarding their humanity
