Details
the changes from this mod have been merged into naturalist multiloader so it is (soon to be) no longer necessary - https://github.com/crispytwig/Naturalist/commit/95317535252eb002b6afdf0cfd251422cbf5f897
Naturallith is a compatibility extension that integrates Terralith biomes with Naturalist mob spawning so wildlife feels native, balanced, and ecosystem-appropriate across expanded world generation.
Instead of vanilla spawn tables dominating Terralith terrain, this datapack redistributes Naturalist creatures across biomes based on environmental context—grasslands, forests, wetlands, mountains, and other regions now receive fauna that better matches their climate and terrain profile.
Features
- 🌍 Enables Naturalist mob spawning inside Terralith biomes
- 🐗 Biome-aware spawn weighting aligned with ecosystem type
- ⚖️ Reduced vanilla spawn competition where necessary
- 🦋 Prevents overrepresentation of low-priority ambient mobs
- 🌲 Maintains immersion across custom world generation
- 🧩 Lightweight and fully datapack-only (no code mods required)
What This Fixes
By default, Terralith biomes often lack proper Naturalist spawn coverage or are dominated by vanilla spawn tables. Naturallith:
- restores wildlife presence across Terralith terrain
- improves spawn diversity
- balances creature frequency
- preserves biome identity
The result is a more cohesive overworld where terrain and fauna feel designed together rather than layered independently.
Compatibility Notes
- Works in existing worlds (new chunk generation recommended)
- Does not modify terrain generation
- Safe alongside most biome or structure datapacks
- Server compatible
