if you have EVER USED the MOD in a VERSION BELOW 1.19 then you HAVE TO MANUALLY DELETE 'firefly_spawns.json' in .minecraft/config/fireflies, start minecraft with the mod again and than the file will recreate itself, otherwise the fireflies will not spawn!!!

firefly lanterns are now minable and they drop them self with the corect number of fireflies, you'll get the recipes for the creation of the firefly lanterns when you have a firefly_in_glass in your inventory, the firefly lanterns can now be found under the decoration tab (detailed update in github HERE)
