This is a small mod
that adds the 
Totem of Alliance, a new item which when held makes ghasts leave you alone.
Always wanted to build in the nether
but couldn't because everything you build gets burned to ashes? Then this mod is for you.
However
such an item isn't easy to find, you will really have to want it.

You will need to complete a challenging advancement to get your first Totem of Alliance.I just want to know, man:
Bring a ghast to the overworld and kill it, it will drop the totem.ENJOY NOT GETTING FIREBALLED TO DEATH!
