Details
Oceanic Delight is an Add-On for Oceanic Delight adding new foods, plants, mechanics and more around the theme of the Ocean like shrimps, sea grapes or fishing net for example.
This mod aims to improve the culinary content that you can get from the Ocean and around, the foods from Oceanic Delight are inspired by Eastern Asia and Mediterranean dishes but also some fully original ones!
📖 Getting Started
It is recommended to use recipe viewing mods like Just Enough Items (JEI) to see the recipes from the Add-On, but also the ways you can obtain certain foods like fish eggs or sea grapes. Then understanding how the Add-On works should be as straight-forward as Farmer's Delight.
🔨 Mod Loaders and Versions
For now, Forge is the only supported Mod Loader, but I am open to any developers wanting to port the Add-On to Fabric!
1.19.2 was the first version which the Add-On released on, but won't be maintained (except critical issues), the mod is updated and maintained in 1.20.1 and, once i port it, to 1.21.1 too (might take some time)
Please, do NOT ask for backports
📝 FAQ
Spoiler
Q. Can I use this mod in my modpack ?
A. Of course you can! However, always read the changelogs! Minor and major versions can sometimes have breaking changes, which will be explained there.
Q. Are you going to backport to X version?
A. As said above, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 will be the only supported versions, 1.19.2 is still available, but there won't be any backports prior to this version.
Q. Isn't there already an Ocean themed Farmer's Delight add-on?
A. Actually, there is! And even multiple ones! But I heard of them only after quite a bit of texturing and development, and there is almost 0 concepts/features (except squid tentacles) that are present in the other add-ons, so if you want, you can play with all of them!
Q. Won't this mod break everything around and cause incompats because it is made using MCreator?
A. "LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER" In the past, MCreator earned a pretty bad reputation because of its low-quality mods, but almost every issues around it were just the devs not thinking enougg and not considering compatibility or just doing large procedures that are unoptimized. However, first that is mostly a stereotype that slowly became more and more wrong, and it's the same with the known "unoptimized generated code" that really disminished with updates. Furthermore, I tried my best to make it compatible with other mods and optimized. If you find any issues, I will be able to fix them, don't expect them to be caused by MCreator which makes it impossible to fix, believe in me!
