Ore Lizards

Ore Lizards adds a dark souls inspired, passive cave creature that spends its life hidden, embedded invisibly in stone or deepslate underground (below Y=0). It sits dormant until a player wanders within 5 blocks, at which point it erupts from the ground in a burst of block particles and bolts away in a 13-second flee, pathing directly away from whoever triggered it at roughly 1.9x normal speed. If the timer runs out before it's killed, it stops, bursts again, and digs back underground, vanishing for good.

A lizard can drop one of 8 ore types (coal, iron, gold, redstone, lapis, diamond, emerald, copper), reflected by a color-tinted ore cluster on its back.

This is my first mod that adds a custom mob. Still in development. Currently a Fabric 1.20.1 mod built on GeckoLib.
