ParCoolSkill
Extend your motion — fight with style.
ParCoolSkill is an addon for ParCool that expands combat with high-impact skills inspired by Slay the Spire.
Chain CatLeap, Dodge, ChargeJump, Flipping, and Slide into powerful attacks, rewarding precise movement, timing, and positioning.
This mod also features a fully configurable system, allowing its skills to be easily adjusted for balance and gameplay preferences.
Core Mechanics
Bullet Time
Bullet Time slows down all entities and the entire game world except the player.
Minor Bullet Time
Minor Bullet Time functions like Bullet Time, but additionally slows down the player’s physical movement.
Status Effects
- Vulnerable: Increases physical damage taken by 50%.
- Neutralized: Reduces the target’s attack damage by 25%.
Implemented Skills
Wild Strike
After performing a CatLeap, your next attack triggers Wild Strike, dealing double damage and granting 1 second of parry time.
Sneaky Strike
After successfully dodging an attack using Dodge, your next attack within 1 second triggers Sneaky Strike, dealing double damage and refunding the Dodge stamina cost.
If the attack hits the target from behind, it instead triggers Backstab, dealing triple damage.
Dropkick
Perform a Slide during a CatLeap to execute a Dropkick.
- Damage is calculated as: (20% of max health) + base attack damage + lower armor value (default: 4 + 1 + armor)
- Grants temporary invulnerability
- Knocks back the target
If the target is affected by Vulnerable:
- Refunds the CatLeap stamina cost
- Triggers Bullet Time for 3 seconds
Heel Hook
Perform a Slide during a Dodge to execute a Heel Hook.
- Damage is calculated as: (20% of max health) + base attack damage + lower armor value (default: 4 + 1 + armor)
- Grants temporary invulnerability
- Applies Slowdown to the target
If the target is affected by Weakness or Neutralized:
- Refunds the Dodge stamina cost
- Triggers Bullet Time for 3 seconds
Bash
After a high jump (ChargeJump), your next downward strike triggers Bash, applying Vulnerable to the target.
Backflip
Perform a backward Flipping while sneaking to trigger Backflip.
- Grants temporary invulnerability
- Triggers Minor Bullet Time
- Activates a ranged weapon rapid-fire effect
During this state:
- Ranged weapon charge speed is doubled
- Fully charged shots are automatically released
Cleave
While holding a weapon capable of sweeping attacks, perform an attack after charging for at least 50% to trigger Cleave.
For 0.5 seconds:
- Entity interaction range is doubled
- Gains additional damage multiplier equal to your sweeping damage ratio
- Enemies swept by the crosshair are automatically struck with full-strength attacks
- By default, only one enemy per direction can be hit
- Each level of Sweeping Edge grants one additional penetration
- Each enemy can be hit at most once per activation
Flick Flack
While targeting an enemy during a Dodge, perform a Flipping to trigger Flick Flack.
- Leap high into the air and gain temporary invulnerability
- Your next attack deals damage to multiple enemies
- Applies Neutralized to affected targets
Design Philosophy
ParCoolSkill emphasizes momentum-based combat: movement is not just positioning, but a core damage mechanic. Mastery comes from chaining mobility skills, exploiting status synergies, and controlling the flow of time itself.
Multiplayer Support
Full and proper multiplayer support has now been implemented. If you encounter any issues in multiplayer environments, please feel free to report them.
